Chapter Five -Allseer-
Allseer folded her wings together and landed gracefully on the platform. She snapped to attention at the sound of dragonets’ happy voices as they raced around the mountain. She sighed, “Mum are you sure I have to do this?” “Yes, it will be good for you, you might bond a bit more with the other Nightwings.” Yeah right. Allseer thought as the thoughts of her tribemates swirled around her head. Weirdo. Ew, she looked at me! I hope she doesn’t come over here. Allseer didn’t know what she’d done wrong to be shunned by her tribemates. It was only the other dragonets so she didn’t find it too much of a deal. If it was adults and dragonets then she would be worried.
Allseer frowned and promptly shut the thoughts out. She turned and wrapped her wings around her mum then walked towards the entrance of the school.
As soon as she stepped inside the mountain Allseer was greeted by another Nightwing known as Fatespeaker. “Hi, there! I’m Fatespeaker but you probably already know that, welcome to Jade Mountain Academy! Let me just get your scrolls” she reached into the sac at her side and pulled out two scrolls. “Ones a map of the mountain and the other is the information you need to know!” “Thanks..” Allseer smiled the best she could and took the map and information scroll from Fatespeakers talons.
Fatespeaker rushed off to greet some other students and Allseer unrolled the map and her information scroll. “HEY! Get outta the way Nightwing!” A frosty voice growled from behind her. She spun around and her scrolls grabbing her scrolls and came face to face with an angry-looking Skywing. “Uh-” Allseer tried to reply “Are you deaf? Get out of my way!” He snarled smacking her scrolls away from her talons. Allseer lost her voice for a second. “Hey! Leave her alone! Have you got your head in the clouds?” A sharp female voice interrupted him. A sandwing glided over, her barbed tail raised threateningly. The skywing narrowed his eyes and snorted, shoving his way past he scattered her scrolls to the other side of the room.
Allseer felt her eyes water. Her first day and she was already bullied, did everyone hate her? She grabbed her scrolls and ran down the corridor, leaving the sandwing behind. Once she was sure no one was around Allseer paused and looked down at her map. She unrolled the scroll and found where her room was. She walked down further, then right, left, left and found a row of rooms. Hers was 121. She quickly found it and discover that her two other roommates had already been, a rainwing was already asleep taking a hammock and there was nest-like thing covered with a giant leaf, that had two scrolls in it already. Which left her, the rock ledge. She clawed her way up and found a little shelf on the wall next to it. A couple of reading scrolls and a timetable for her Winglet, the Onyx Winglet.
As Allseer started to drift off the rainwing awoke and took a glance at her. Nightwing, she's pretty. Maybe she will be my friend. As much as Allseer was happy a dragonet finally liked her, she prayed the rainwing wouldn't talk to her. To her luck, the dragonet quietly left the cave, leaving Allseer to sleep.
Sleep had finally come when a headache appeared, “No goddammit! Not now!” She groaned and someone poked their head around the door. A vision flashed into her head, a sandwing and a rainwing were facing off against two icewings, in a clearing in the forest near Jade Mountain. The vision skipped forwards a bit, the sandwing had a wing half-covered in freezing death breath. The rainwing was shaking under serrated claws. “Are you ok?” the skywing who bullied her before was staring at her. She nodded “someones in trouble.”
