I did a series of poems based on the stages of grief, this one supposed to represent bargaining. I was really proud of it but it didn't really fit any contests.

I feel your dead gaze

Through a soft setting haze

Giving weight on my form

Dissolves as rain in a storm

What’s left of winter’s snow

Melts as grass lost it’s glow

Soaking into the ground

The new love I’ve found

And it blew away

And I still feel your hand

Through each grain of sand

I remember it all

Like the pureness of fall

Falling into the stream

Hope a stale fading beam

It faded away

If I leave my heart with you

Will my faith shine through

And like the fading haze of summer

I’ve been hoping, composing a beat to lead my soul to you

Is it enough for this summer to stand

I just want your heat to last

If I could reach your heart

It would tear my soul apart

I still hear your voice

Despite my one choice

Echoing of the wall

Abandoning fall

My air thins as I choke

Past the freshly blew smoke

Carried into the sea

Dropped on locks of pity

Washing up on the shore

To where it was before

And it blew away

Will my obedience stay true

And like the wilting plant of summer

I’ve been tuning arranging a song to lead my desire to you

If I leave my knee with you

Will my loyalty be proved

I’ve been failing so hopelessly please remind what this is all for
