Kuba walked out of the castle in the Horizon. He looked around to see the gods occupied with fighting the devils that he just freed.
He leaped from the ground to stand on Horon's statue to get a better view of his handwork. He then plunged his scythe into the statue and sat down.
He looked up to the dark sky and let out a soft exhale. Just then, his name echoed through the many screams.
He looked down to see Nela in her silver armor. She pulled out her sword and knocked down one of the devils flying toward her.
She jumped and landed on another statue next to the one he was standing on. "What have you done Kuba? No matter what you're going through, no matter how you feel, this is no way to go about it" she stated.
"I did nothing wrong. This is how it's supposed to be. The gods being busy always. When I came here, they were having a feast, but look around you now-- if no one will, then I will make this world right. They sit up here having fun while we humans suffer in agony." He stopped for a beat.
"I will make this place come crashing down, I will make them feel the pain of losing something you hold dear. I will make them feel what it is like to be… mortals."
He stood up and took out his scythe from the ground.
"And I won't hesitate to destroy anything or anyone that stands in my way"
Before she could finish processing what he just said, he launched himself forward and swung his weapon at her.
She quickly placed her shield in front of her to defend herself. "Kuba no. This is madness… everything happens for a reason--"
"Then I guess this is the reason my family was taken away from me. To set the world right"
He kicked her and she went crashing to the ground with a loud thud. Kuba jumped with his scythe over his head. A spark of lightning ignited around his weapon.
She rolled away just in time to avoid the attack. The ground below him was destroyed the moment he made an impact with it. The attack was so strong that it destroyed the force holding the Horizon in the sky, making it begin to fall to the ground.
Kuba doesn't stop there, he shoots his flame at Nela who quickly puts her shield up to defend against the attack.
He then swept her off her feet and she fell on the ground, her sword rolling out of her hand. He walked over to her and lunged the under of his scythe at her which was also as sharp as a sword. She puts her hand up and it pierced into her hand. She groaned as blood dripped down her hand.
"K-Kuba, please stop this…" she begged.
To her advantage, a rock knocked him away.
The castle that was beautifully designed completely fell apart the moment the Horizon touched the ground. It destroyed all the trees around it, turning the place into nothing but sand. Luckily, there was no human there.
…
Kuba pushed away the stone that was on him and stood up. He picked up his scythe and placed it over his shoulder.
He felt content in his heart as he looked around the fallen Horizon. He then walked forward to where Nela was lying motionless on the ground.
He pushed a rock that was on top of her and picked her up in his arms. He slowly laid her down on a smoother floor.
He turned back as he heard footsteps approaching him. His grip on the scythe tightened as Horon came out to the open. His eyes were filled with sheer horror as he walked through the rubbles of stone.
He noticed Geesorum's lifeless body and walked up to it. He held his jaw and tilt his head up, hoping for him to open his eyes but nothing happened. He was dead, and his death made calamity strike again.
"Five years ago, my two years old son died. I felt like my world would come crumbling down. I resented you gods and went crazy. If not for my wife who calmed me down and told me it wasn't the end of the world I would have done this a long time ago" he started.
"And now you took away my wife from me? You gods are useless-- you had one duty, to accept our prayers but didn't" he stopped for a moment before speaking again
"Now you know how it feels to lose something you love" He finished.
Horon stood up and pulled out his sword and pointed it at Kuba. "I helped you win your last war--"
"Did I ask for that?" He interrupted. "What I wanted was for my family to be safe. I do not care if I lost some stupid war. As long as they were alive" he added.
"And no, you helped us with nothing, we won the war with our sheer strength... You know, I have been wondering, if we mortals pray to you. Then what do you gods pray to, because you will need it" he says before charging at Horon.
