Talon's eyes widened at the sight of the two headstones, flowers at their base and a necklace each draped over their face. "What?" the teen asked quietly.
Hiatsu took a breath and slowly exhaled. "I'm sorry. You continued to ask to know what was going on, given how Alura has refused to speak to you."
Talon stepped forward, fell to his knees and placed a hand on the smooth stones. Tears licked at the brim of his eyes as he looked between them. "...When...?"
"They were killed by Amoxious almost two years ago." Hiatsu quietly answered. "I'm very sorry. Alura was supposed to tell you but she's been busy with what she sees is still needed to be done."
Talon gritted his teeth, his fingers curling tightly into his palms. "...Sure...always busy..." he whispered, his head lowered.
The Fire God lowered his head. Gradually minutes ticked by with the silence only kissed by the wind and rustle of the foliage. "...Would you like more time here or would you be alright with us returning? If we return I will cancel your training until you have gone through mourning." Hiatsu offered, his head now leaned back to look up at the sky.
Talon stayed still, thinking and slowly stood up. "I want to see her." He firmly answered and looked toward the house. "Do you know if she's home?"
"I believe she has gone out to visit a different archapelego."
Talon marched up to the door and pounded his fist against it. Silence welcomed him and he repeated this a couple more times. Taking a deep breath, he forced his trembling fist off the wooden surface. "...Damn her..." Talon snarled through his teeth.
Hiatsu sighed and walked up. "Come, we can return another time when she has finished her business elsewhere." The elder brother offered a hand. "I'll speak to the maids so you can have one of them experienced with mortal grief to aid you on your recovery from this shock."
Talon stiffly turned and took his hand. "...I don't need help." He quietly stated as a red aura surrounded them and they vanished.
Back in the God Lands, Hiatsu stepped away with an angel approaching with some papers in hand. "Oh I'm glad you're back. For some reason there's been an increase in prayers directed towards Lady Kasa and I feared she would come to seek them."
"I'll handle them. Find someone who is experienced with grief to aid Talon in anyway he needs." Hiatsu instructed, making his way to his office and leaving Talon in the foyer.
The teen gripped his fists at his sides, eyes narrowed on the way the Fire God had vanished. I don't need any help from others. I need my damned sister to stop excluding me from everything! he snapped and stormed out.
Talon walked to the training grounds for the Angel Guard and reared his fist back with body shaking. Thrusting forward, a torrent of air shot out like a large bullet, breaking one of the training dummies. "She can't even be bothered to tell her own brother about our parents dying?! I have to learn it second hand a year later?!" he screamed and threw another torrent into another dummy, shattering it to toothpicks.
Clapping caught his attention and a third torrent flew at a tree but was broken before it could make contact. "That was very impressive. Too bad you are all alone in having control over your family's bloodline."
"Who are you?" Talon inquired firmly.
The woman jumped out of the tree and landed gracefully with wind flowing up and out from her feet. "I am just the Goddess which gave you the ability to use such power at such a young age." She gave a polite bow. "Kisa, the Goddess of the Wind and just here to see if I can give you the help you're requesting."
"I don't need any help and I didn't request any help from anyone, especially not someone I never heard of before."
"Don't be like that." Talon turned his back to her and stepped away. Kasa sighed, folded her arms and began examining her nails. "Not my fault that brut wishes to protect your big sister from facing any punishment."
Talon's steps stopped. "What are you talking about?"
"Don't you find it odd that an Emperor, leader of a country, would bother to belittle himself to kill two commoners himself? Bloodying his hands and framing his rule in a poor light?"
"Money can hire help. People can be paid."
"That is true but did you even see where it took place? Or did you just see where they were laid to rest?" Kasa pried, looking over to the teen.
Talon opened then closed his mouth and took a breath. "We only went to where they were buried. There wasn't time to go see the sight of the crime."
"There would have been enough time for him to show you where but I guess maybe you're right. There's no way there's an alternative motive for him not showing you where they died."
"...If Hiatsu valued my sister more than myself then he would have trained her instead of asking to train me with magic."
Kasa nodded, stepping casually closer, her hands folded behind her back. "Good point. You must be his favorite and he must be telling the truth. But...why would he make confidential the nature of their death?"
"I didn't ask. Simple as that."
"You didn't ask but that doesn't explain why he wouldn't ask if you'd wish to know how they went out. So you would know if they suffered or went quick and painlessly with their execution by an evil half-demon's hands."
Talon lowered his head, his eyes on the ground. "I'll ask him later if he can tell me and show me where they died."
Kasa stopped by his side and rested a hand on his shoulder. "If sir fire doesn't want to show you or say he doesn't have time, which he's likely to, then just call and ask for Kasa to take you. I have nothing going on to distract me from you making sure there is justice for your parent's senseless death."
Talon shook her off, stepping back and looking her over. "Why are you coming to me now? Why have you stayed silent this whole time if you are the one who gifted my kind with wind magic?"
Kasa folded her arms. "The fireball wouldn't let me meet with you. He fears if two winds desiring good would cause a tornado."
"That...doesn't quite sound like him."
Kasa giggled then laughed. "You will see little one, trust me. He does not like it when the wind begins to blow where he does not desire it."
Talon's brow wrinkled as he took another step back. "Uh huh...noted..." he shook his head. "I've got thinking to do and training before I speak to him."
"Of course. I won't stand in your way since you will be doing it alone going forward." Talon stopped shortly after turning away from her. "Oh, I heard him say he would be delaying your training and I can see you don't want that at all. But, he would never do something if you didn't want it done that way, right?"
Talon inhaled sharply and closed his eyes tight. His forced steps resumed to a different part of the training area. Kasa smirked and giggled quietly behind a hand.
