Since I was pretty sure he was a talker, I also sent him a message through his thoughts to make sure they stood out in his head. I didn’t know how it would feel for him but it wasn’t the reaction I was expecting. Instead of answering my question, the man dropped to the floor. Had he…fainted? It would be suspicious if any thinkers came by or inspection units saw a man on the floor. So I dragged his body over to my bed. I was too weak for this. This man was heavy to lug around. I couldn’t do anything else but wait for him to wake up after that.

My plan failed miserably. Instead of a calm answer like I had expected he gripped his head and screamed and cried for me to ‘get out of his head’. I didn’t know what to do. So I left the room and came back later while he seemed to calm down. The second time I went back he was much less, crazy. Since his clothes were black and covered in sweat I lent him some big clothes I had accidentally been given. He only nodded in thanks.

The man came out of the room a few minutes later, wearing my shirt and a pair of loose pants and it didn’t fit him at all. The grey fabric looked like it was about to rip on his body. My loose pants looked more like tights on him. What he was wearing was definitely a violation of the rules. But this man's entire being seemed like a violation so I didn’t care.

So I tried something. I grabbed a hair tie and went behind him getting ready to tie up his hair and hopefully get a glimpse at what he is. Though when I went behind him instead of peacefully letting me tie his hair he flinched and turned backwards. Though he tried I saw it. I saw his mark.
