I walked out of the bar, and I saw Sully giving me a thumbs up. So I knew I was going to do well. I took a deep breath. And I went over some things in my mind that Sayori taught me. Eye contact, introduce yourself, just because I remember her, doesn't mean she remembers me, and most importantly. Keep your eyes off any areas that might be exposed.
I tapped Saki on the shoulder. Expecting either a backhand across my face, a kick to the nuts, or her to scream.
"Hey, didn't see you there. How are you today?" Saki said, more cheerfully than I had ever heard her. Heck, when I gave her my Dad's Acoustic guitar , she didn't sound half as happy.
I grinned. "I'm good... Damn.. You waiting for someone?" I said calmly.
Then an old guy walked up to Saki. handing her a note. She nodded, and sighed. "Dammit."
"Woah, what's going on?"
Saki just looked at me, and she said that Goodman had decided to take a vacation.
"Well, I can't offer drugs, or sex. But I can get you something to drink, there's a bar across the street. Or a coffee shop in a better part of Boston." I said as I put on my friendliest smile.
"Sweetie, you don't have to do that."
I smiled..
"I know I didn't have to. But I wanted to." I said as I led Saki to my new 1997 Chevy Suburban.
