The Lone Detective : Chapter 2, A New Kind of Case
The next day, Apollo sat next to me during lunch. It was silent... But, I may have to admit that it was better than being alone. We made little talk, maybe a sentence or so, nothing much. The bell rang, and we head to class. He sat next to me again. There were a few hushed whispers, probably about the two of us. I honestly didn't care nor mind, let them think what they want. Their beliefs about me are unimportant anyways. It becomes the norm, Apollo sits next to me now, everyday in every class. Soon, our two sentence conversations become longer and longer. Soon, I start to join in his playful banter. Soon, I start to open up, and soon, I grew to actually grew to trust him and call him my friend.
It was the same for him, though he was much more open from the beginning. At first, he'd just follow me, trailing around a foot or two behind me. Day by day, that distance lessened, until I could almost feel him breathing on me. He taught me about normal things, like video games and the popular music and TV shows. In return, I shared with him my knowledge about solving crimes. He became good enough to solve a few on his own. Maybe one day he could be my partner, but for that to happen, I'd have to get rid of him.
We became closer, and the rumors started to increase. Everyone started to question Apollo, and every time, he would always be able to defend us and say no.
...But there were rare times, that happened very scarcely, that I wished he has said yes.681Please respect copyright.PENANAQEOxgfO2Ug

A New Kind of Case
Song : I Miss You by Boyce Avenue (Cover)
We were sitting in his living room when the first murder happened. The TV was on the news, and we were sitting on his couch doing homework.
"Cedric Averil, a 2cnd year high-school student has been found dead." The news reporter, a woman in her early 30s, stated, "Police have concluded it is definitely a homicide, and have started investigating."
"So they've let the case go out into the public..." I thought out loud, which caused Apollo to look at me questioningly. I shrugged, "I had been contacted last night to work on this case."
He looked at me, looking a like a puppy begging for food. I knew what he wanted already, "No, Apollo. You are not helping me with this case. I have a partner already."
He continued to stare at me, his eyes piercing my own, until I gave in, "Fine." I sighed in defeat. I could never say no to that imbecile...
He immediately brightened, and had his own little party at he expense of my defeat. I sighed again, and decided I'd have to bring him along when I go to investigate, then I realized, that poor Apollo would have to meet him, the insufferable prick.681Please respect copyright.PENANAbbjVeHgsu0

A New Kind of Case
Song : For the First Time by The Script
I brought Apollo to meet my partner, an old childhood friend.
"Apollo, meet my partner, Jude Noel." I sighed as Apollo extended his hand to Jude, who took it gingerly. They shook hands. I was relieved it wasn't going that bad, except for the fact that we were a bit late.
"Why were you late? Did you forget how to walk? In that case, you take your left and right legs and alternate the in order to move forward." Jude greeted me, his arms crossed as always, then he took notice of Apollo, "And who is this plebian?"
I sighed again. It could be worse. Apollo, though, was unfazed by Jude's behavior, "Nice to meetcha'! I'm Apollo Imogene, Julianne's friend. I'm gonna be helping you guys out!"
Jude's icy blue eyes looked at me, "Julianne. What happened here?"
I shrugged, "I made a friend."
I could tell Jude was surprised, though he was trying his best to hide it. I've known Jude since we were babies, and as far as we both knew he was the only person I talked to outside of my family. The fact that I could socialize to anyone besides from them was definitely shocking.
"You... Made a friend. I see." He was recovering from the shock, while Apollo looked at the two of us. I'm sure he was trying to understand what was going on.
I decided to explain for the both of them, "Apollo, Jude was a childhood friend. He was the only other person I talked to, besides my family, making him a suitable partner. Don't worry, his skills are good enough, but not enough to rival mine," Jude rolled his eyes, and I continued, "Jude, this is Apollo. He is a transfer student who came to our school. He persistently tried to talk to me, and it happened somehow. So yes, I made a friend."
They both traded glances at each other, and I decided it was the best time to rendezvous to the crime scene, or risk any more awkward conversation. I sighed. This was going to be interesting.681Please respect copyright.PENANAMQ9AY0CBMu
