You stayed with Zeddicus, choosing to stay in Myrrdin’s Circle. You wanted to save Geoffrey and Afina but something about the whole situation seemed strange. You thought, how did they both become overpowered by a bunch of cave dwellers? Zeddicus told you that there is more to this situation than meets the eye. And in that moment, you do remember, Rose telling you to go with Geoffrey but do not trust him. Is this what she meant?
You felt as if all of this was part of your training… trust. You are to trust in Rose and in everything Geoffrey does but to not trust that he can easily be overpowered and defeated.
“I trust Rose. Although everything right now isn’t very clear, I have grown in my training under her to know that what she speaks and what she does is right and that I should follow her instructions in order to accomplish what I set out to do”.
Zeddicus looks at you with curious eyes. “And what ARE you set out to do boy?”
“My mission, to follow whatever Queen Rose wishes, and help her bring Kaizar to his knees!”
“Then you are no longer a boy. Now, from this day forth, you are a man, Arthur! Geoffrey and Afina were captured for a reason. Queen Rose is setting up her strategy to invade Kaizar’s palace. The legendary sword, will soon be in your hands and Myrrdin, my father will fight by our side.”
You nod to Zeddicus while smiling as you look towards the distance, and you notice a bird in the trees.
Satisfied with your answer, Zeddicus signals with his fingers to that bird. It was a large powerful hawk patiently waiting for Zeddicus’ signal. The hawk gracefully takes off and flew towards King Kaizar’s palace. Outside the dungeon cells where Rose, Geoffrey, and Afina are being held, they can hear the hoarse sound from a bird.
“Kee eeeeee aarrr!” Zeddicus’ hawk flies around various times over Kaizar’s palace. Rose, Geoffrey, and Afina can hear it clearly.
Two guards stand nearby next to Rose’ cell. Geoffrey’s cell was right next to hers. Rose spoke out loud in her cell, loud enough so Geoffrey could hear her, but not loud enough for the guards to hear. “Arthur is very stubborn. However, I will not force him to do things he does not want to do. I gave him a choice, to follow me, and be by my side and be patient as he awaits my orders or to walk away from all this and be free. He didn’t have to follow you Geoffrey, but he did. And he didn’t have to follow Zeddicus, but now I can hear with my own ears that he has chosen to follow him too. Arthur has chosen to trust me. He has chosen trust. Arthur is now a man.”
“Yes, your right your highness. I can hear the signal. Zeddicus has given us the signal to start…. the war. Myrrdin, your brother and Arthur… your son, will finish it!”
