The girls around me continued to scream, trying to draw attention to themselves.
I ignored them completely, calmly maneuvering my way through the crowd to get as close to the gate as possible.
I spotted his dark hair farther down the line, holding out a phone as he took a selfie with three other girls.
The girls around me reeked of overpowering perfume. Each face was covered in an ungodly amount of makeup. Each attempting to catch the attention of this generation's most popular solo singer after his biggest concert yet.
Closer and closer he came to me, stopping every other step to autograph pictures or take selfies.
I continued to watch him with a small smile as I remembered everything we have been through together.
Each reaching our dreams. His on the stage and mine behind it.
A girl squealed, jumping up and down after getting her picture with the popular celebrity.
It made me laugh, seeing everyone so obsessed with the same boy, who four years ago was the college dropout of small town Illinois.
Finally, he got close enough to see me leaning against the metal fence that separated the pressing crowd from him. 123Please respect copyright.PENANAWLydQ8wVOX
I saw him smirk as he sped up to get closer.
Finally he stopped in front of me.
"Hey." He smiled big as he resituated his guitar strap that held his electric guitar to his back.
"Hey." I looked up at him as he leaned forward, towering over me.
But for once, I was ok with feeling small.
He looked at me as if hundreds of people weren't watching us. As if we were back where we met two years ago.
"So what about it?" He grinned bigger than I've ever seen. "You going to kiss me goodbye or what?"
