Carrie was currently practicing her speech for the opening act for the Grammys. She was shocked when they had given her the opportunity to be the opening speech. She couldn't decline it was good publicity and not to mention such a huge honor. She readied her speech and practiced for hours. She had her outfit all picked out and her idea for her hair in her mind clearly. She had a slight fear of public speaking but she wasn't going to let that stop her. She had done it before this was nothing… Carrie sighed as she stared into the mirror. “Am I ready for this” she mumbled. It was the night before. “I have to be...”
It was the day of and Carried had her hair done up all fancy like and her dress was a black, slimly waisted, dress with a black belt over it for style purposes. It looked gorgeous on Carrie. Her make-up was done and she was being driven to the event.----She had arrived and was back stage preparing herself. An hour later she was called on stage. She walked up her heels clicking and clacking as she made her way to the stage. She remembered her speech perfectly thank goodness. She started to speak…”I am so very grateful for this rare opportunity to open for such a popular award ceremony—” She continued her speech but mid sentence suddenly all of her attention was focused on all the prying eyes of the people in the crowd. She just realized how many people were watching her and her only…She felt herself freeze….”No…I…I cant do this” She thought internally. Just then Jimmy Kimmel himself sped walked onto the stage to help Carrie with her speech. As soon as she saw Jimmy she felt herself unthaw…He started up the conversation and she went back to normal. Her segment had ended and she and Jimmy walked off stage.
