“Elena Randy,” started the woman who sat in the desk at the front of the room. The supervisor. Malorie Smith. Such a basic last name this woman has. At least in Elena’s book, “Why are you going to the printer? You have no need since your story hasn’t been proofread yet.”

“I get that Mrs. Smith. However I’ve started a new story due to a lack of interest the public will show to my story. I need to print this off for your approval to send to Mr. Johnson along with the other papers that need approval as well.” Yes Elena had lied about why she redid her story, but it had yet to be approved by Mr. Johnson so for now it would be fine. She just needed the go ahead was all.

Mrs. Smith thought, long and hard for merely a moment. “Hand your paper to me once your done with printing it off. I’ll see what I should do. But if this is a bad story, you’re heading home, to think of a better story to replace the one you have gotten rid of without prior authorization.” Harsh in tone, but this was a nice deal if it was a good story.

Elena quickly finished her walk to the printer, to finish off the process of getting her paper printed. This may not be a weekly edition since the weekly short story was one written by Jane Kergoff. The girl was only here to get her name out to the public so she was probably quitting soon. The frim was both dying, and she had other plans. As in being a novelist. Elena didn’t have many place; this was just the best job she could get at the moment due to the lack of work experience.

It took a few minutes before she got her paper back, and now it was time to get approval from Mrs. Smith. “Here you go Mrs. Smith! The new paper,” Elena smled as the older woman read it. Her smile disappeared quickly. It was rather unprofessional for her to be happy over something like this.

“Well Ms. Randy, I suppose this is more intriguing than what you originally proposed to me,” Mrs. Smith had liked the story to say the least: she soon sat down this story in the pile to go be approved. There were ten papers in total, which was how many people they had in the SSHD minus Mrs. Smith. Soon she continued her instructions to the young woman, “Go turn this i to Mr. Johnson.”

Elena gently grabbed the set of papers before heading to the office. This was turning out pretty good for herself! Now all she had to hope for was that Mr. Johnson got it in the paper! This was looking good. Though the proofreading was gonna take forever.
