I looked up from the ghostly pale body cowering beneath me, before looking at the blood stained knife in my hand. Running to the wall, I climbed over, like I did before, into the unknown. The safer unknown.
That night, I couldn't sleep. It was hard to stop thinking about the body I'd left behind in the alley. I did eventually get to sleep though. But it was a slumber full of a dream that made no sense.
"Hey," a soft voice whispered in my ear. "Hey, you can wake up now. Everything's fine." Startled, I sat up. A young girl was sat in front of me. But her voice... it sounded older than her years. "What?" I asked. "Who are you?" "That does not matter," the girl said. "Come, now. We will be late." She took my hand, so I had no choice but to follow her. We got to our destination, and I stared in horror at it. A party. A full blown party. Loud noises. Unfriendly people chanting around a table. I felt breath against my ear. "You may kill me," a voice told me. "But you may never kill my dreams," the person chuckled maniacally. "Or my nightmares..."
