It was last December when he had first met her long before she had gotten sick. She had been beautiful then. With long wavy brown hair and legs like a model. Full lips, high cheekbones, and a gorgeous smile. She had been wearing the ugliest sweater in the world and black leggings. 267Please respect copyright.PENANAmBr11KqXey
They had crossed paths by accident. He had spilled his coffee on her and she had spilled her latte on him. It was so cliche, straight out of a love story. That Christmas they had fallen in love. He had bought her a large diamond ring. She had bought him a puppy. They had named the puppy Greg. 267Please respect copyright.PENANAbImENmW9cT

"Merry Christmas Eve darling," Jack crooned gently envoloping Sarah's hand with his own. Her stillness stung Jack's heart like a thousand wasps. "Greg is one year old now. He misses you. He's such a handsome dog." 267Please respect copyright.PENANA9gZpVLY8UT
Greg was a large german shepard who was now curled up under Sarah's hospital bed obeidiently. Over the duration of last year Sarah had fallen ill with lung cancer. The docotors had called Greg and allowed him to be with Sarah during her final hours.
"Hey look. It's snowing!" Jack grinned gently picking Sarah up and gently setting her on the couch next to the window. Sarah slowly tilted her head to gaze out at the window. Large clouds rained beautifully crafted snowflakes upon the ground. In no time there was a thick white layer of snow upon the ground.
"It's beautiful," Sarah whispered her voice hoarse and strained. Jack looked at Sarah. Even sick she was still the most beautiful person he had ever seen.
All throught the night Jack and Greg kept Sarah warm and happy. They brought her chocolates and flowers. They brought her a navy blue heated blanket and hot cocoa.
As the time slowly went by, the snow outside piled on the ground covering it in an elegant white sheet. Sarah shivered. "Jack. He's coming. He's going to take me. Stay with me please," she whimpered quietly holding Jack's hand.
Jack smiled. "I would follow you if you wanted me to," he turned away so she didn't have to see the saddness and the lonliness that was residing in his eyes.
Greg curled up next to Sarah's feet as they stayed with her for the remainder of her life. Finally as the sun began to rise and the snow began to slow, Sarah's hand went limp and the bells of Christmas morning could be heard.
