When I mentioned to my parents that I chose to watch Space Jam as it was going to be removed from Amazon Prime within the next few days, they started going on about how much they hated the Looney Tunes characters so I felt a little awkward.
As a former basketball player in high school, it was fun to see Michael Jordon and some NBA stars team up with the world of Looney Tunes. Some evil aliens are determined to take over the land where Bugs Bunny and his friends live, so the challenge is set to take them on over a game of basketball. If the aliens win, then the world of Looney Tunes will be no more. They are determined to do anything to succeed and be victorious even if they have to resort to not the most sporting ways to do so...
Michael Jordon is just out casually playing baseball and having no involvement in basketball anymore. That changes when he has been sucked down a golf hole after scoring a hole-in-one and learns about the horrible fate that awaits the looney tunes, he has to jump in and save them before it is too late.
This was a fun family-friendly view. There is however one flaw which involves the main song for the film is repeated on more than one occasion and the singer in question has been convicted of various crimes including sexual harassment of underage women, so keep that in mind if this is a film that you wish to see.
