I had never sat down to watch a Hallmark original movie before but as it was coming up to the end of autumn here in the UK, it seemed fitting to do so otherwise I most likely would never have gotten around to it. Some of the positives that I liked were the small-town setting and the candy viewing. Yummy!
The owner of a sweet shop passed away and leaves half of the business to one of her nieces Maggie but also the other half to a guy called Dex who along with his father was close to the owner. Both Maggie and Dex have to work together to keep things afloat which is tricky as they have conflicting ideas about where to take the next steps and in what way to do so. It is a family-friendly watch.
The storyline events felt far too predictable to me and with not enough atmosphere to keep me invested, the last half was a total drag. Good basic comfort viewing if you are in the mood for it.
