"There's gonna be a carnival on Friday, taking place in the school's field. They're selling food and rides and stuff.. " Kang-dae explained, grabbing Jin -ah's attention.
"That sounds fun." Jin -ah smiled.
"It does but I might not go." he added.
"But why not?" Everyone asked in unison.
"Well..I have to study." He explained.
"Study?! You need to relax! There's always an excuse!" Kyong stated, rolling his eyes at him.
"There's no excuse for studying if you're not enjoying your time there. Just come with us!" Jin-ah pointed out.
Kang-dae chuckled at their reactions.
"Alright. We'll meet up at the field in school. Also, it's at 8pm so be ready. "
Binna and the others cheered in joy.
"Okay, alright. You happy now? Can you stop shouting already?" Kang- dae complained.
"Sorry!" the of them said in unison, grinning sheepishly.

Jin-ah yawned, stretching a little and rubbing her eyes. "Ahhh, I'm bored..."

"Same." Do -yun mumbled, also yawning. "I think the teacher forgot to assign homework or something. I'm glad he forgot." He commented. Jin -ah snickered.
"Yeah.." she agreed.
Jin-ah and Do-yun were getting ready together at her house before the carnival. Their parents were going out to get groceries, so it would just be the two of them.
"Okay, now remember, you only have half an hour to get ready, alright?" Jin -ah reminded the delinquent. . Do -yun chuckled lightly.
"Yeah, yeah. I know." he answered, smiling slightly. "Don't rush me, Boss."
Jin -ah chuckled. "No hurry, doofus.." she smiled and walked out of her room to change.
She changed and headed downstairs. She went outside her apartment and waited for Do-yun to come out.
A few minutes later, he was exiting his apartment with a jacket on his shoulder.
"You're ready." Jin -ah smiled softly, turning to face him.
"Of course. Can't keep my boss waiting now can I?" he smiled teasingly.
Jin -ah laughed. "Shut up!" She playfully punched his arm, playfully scolding him. Do-yun had parked his bike on the side of Jin-ah's apartment, so they used that as transportation. A moment , they arrived at the field. It was decorated beautifully. Candles lit everywhere, and there was music playing loudly.
The duo walked to the center of the field, admiring the decorations.
"This looks amazing!" Jin -ah exclaimed happily.
"It's kinda sucky... but I'll try to enjoy the party tonight," do -yun replied.
They continued to observe the surroundings for a little longer when Jin -ah spotted a familiar boy. And of course, it was Kang-dae.
Jin-ah tugged on Do-yun's sleeve, pointing at Kang-dae.
"Look! He made it!" Jin-ah smiled. Do-yun's face scrunched up, seeing the sight of Kang-dae.
He glanced at her with narrowed eyes. "What's got you all excited about him? Do you like him?"
Jin-ah's face flushed bright red. "W..What are you talking about..? Of course I don't!" she stuttered in reply.
"Oh really? "Then, why are you acting like this?"
Her cheeks flared even more, causing Do -yun to disgustingly scoff.
"Whatever. Let's go find everyone else." He grabbed her wrist and led her away. They continued to wander the crowd until Do -yun stopped in his tracks, spotting the whole gang. Bon-hwa, Binna, Kyong, and Ae-ri.
"Guys." he called. The rest turned around and greeted him, saying hello. Do -yun nodded.
Bon -hwa approached him.
"Hey doofus. You're here too? Did ya come with Jin-ah?!"
Do -yun nodded. "How did you know we came together?" He questioned.
Bon -hwa chuckled. "Because it's obvious."
Do -yun chuckled and placed his arm around Jin-ah's shoulder.
"Yup. We're here to spend the night together~" he teased Jin-ah. She laughed awkwardly and shoved his arm off her shoulder, making him chuckle again.
Ae -ri approached Do-yun next. "Hey, nice to see you guys again."
She bowed to Do-yun, and he bowed to her.
"Greetings, Master. You're looking well." Ae-ri grinned, bowing again in return. Kyong shoved Ae-ri aside, hugging Do-yun.
"Woah, woah! Slow down, will you?" Do -yun chuckled, patting Kyong's back. Kyong pulled away.
"Do-yun, I miss you!"
"We literally saw each other yesterday." Do -yun rolled his eyes.
Kyong shrugged. "Still counts." He pouted.
"Anyway, we should start to look for Kang-dae." Binna said, sighing.
"We saw him in the main area earlier," Jin-ah mentioned. "But we haven't seen him since."
"Yeah, me either. He's probably still in there." Do-yun responded.
Ae -ri and Binna shared a glance.
They knew very well what the other was thinking. That maybe, the raven haired boy wasn't in the same place as them anymore.
After searching through the entire field and finding no one, the six decided to go back to the place they were first in.
Bon-hwa panted, putting his hands on his knees. "I never expected it'd take this long.."
Kyong laughed lightly.
"Not surprised you ran out of breath. What kind of boy are you anyway?" he joked.
"Shut up." Bon -hwa retorted.
Ae-ri sighed , scratching her head. "How about we split up?"
Binna nodded. "I'll go with Bon-hwa." Bon-hwa's eyes lit up as he glanced over to Binna.
"Yes!" Bon-hwa whispered to himself, jumping excitedly. Binna laughed at this.
After that, Kyong suddenly jumped onto Ae-ri. Her face scrunched up, trying to shake the boy off.
"I guess I'm going with Kyong." Ae-ri said, trying to get out of Kyong's arms. But he wouldn't let go. The duo left with Kyong's arms wrapped around Ae-ri.
"Let's go, Binna." They both left together.
As soon as they all disappeared, Do-yun looked at Jin-ah and started approaching the girl, stopping right in front of her with his hands in his pockets, and his head titled to the side.
"So... you like Kang-dae?" He asked.
Jin -ah blushed slightly.
"I..."
She paused for a bit, thinking of the best way to answer. Do -yun stared at her, then chuckled.
"You don't have to answer right away. Don't worry; if he breaks your heart, I'll protect ya, Boss." He smirked.
Jin -ah's eyes widened.
"Wha... how can y-" Jin -ah tried to ask, but Do-yun was already walking away, leaving Jin-ah behind and laughing.
"W...Wait! Do-yun, wait up!" Jin-ah jogged up beside the delinquent, pulling him by the arm.
"Hey!" She whined.
"What?" He questioned, amused by her antics.
"I... uh... you.. don't really have to do that..."
Do -yun raised an eyebrow.
"Uh huh?" He teased.
Jin -ah glared at him. "You're not funny."
The boy chuckled and shook his head.
"Alright, let's look for Kang-dae now."
"Yeah.."
