TW: swearing
"Hey!" I yelled as my hands were grabbed. He grabbed my whole body, that bastard. He shoved me into the damn emerald-green corvette, with my arms tied. "It's you." I sneered. "Quiet." He responded. "What is this for? The prophecy?" He was seemingly silent, but I heard him mutter something under his breath: "The prophecy must be completed."
"Oh, I call bullshit. All you want to do is take over the damn Earth and kill the Rhylerdon!" I didn't care that I never sweared but had the mouth of a criminal now. Any logic was taking the backseat as long as I was in a car with the imfamous and devious Delan. "Have you ever figured out why Gunther and his cronies were so keen on summoning the Rhylerdon in the first place?" I stayed quiet for a moment. It was the same question that had been bugging me for the past day. It didn't add up. The Rhylerdon didn't have anywhere to go, and certainly it wouldn't be able to keep sunshine and rainbows forever. The logistics didn't quite add up, plus the plans that Gunther had kept by his side.
"Well, as it turns out, the bible is more right than Gunther. The Rhylerdon is an all-seeing monster that can only be destructive. Your buddy Gunther wants to destroy the world. If I kill the Rhylerdon, all I do is save the planet, not take it over with some mind-eating fungus. That was made up by Gunther, if you didn't know already." My eyes widened. Although I couldn't confirm what Delan was saying, it wasn't out of the realm of possibility. "And where are you taking me?" I asked cooly. I didn't want to convey any surprise, or anything. The less he knew about me, the better. "Away. You'll be in a secure location. You'll have access to food, water, a tv, a fusball table, just about anything you want to entertain you for the rest of the day. Just be thankful I was able to bring it all together in the first place."
I was about to scream again, incase anyone could hear me. My mind buzzed as thousands of thoughts swarmed my head. But one question continued to churn: "Why are you keeping me?" I asked. Delan sighed. "I don't want to, believe me. But you're the one who causes the prophecy to happen. If you're there, then it is almost guerrenteed that the Rhylerdon is summoned." I couldn't let my rage continue to boil. For the past two months, I'd fought this man. He was my firm enemy. He'd brought everyone I cared about pain and suffering. Now, we sat here having a mellow conversation. He casually mentioned how he was going to stick me in a shitty supervillain lair for god knows how long. "How can I trust you?" I was surprised about how mellow the words out of my mouth were.
"I promise on the Yakutia river, that everything I tell you is true and is what I 100% believe." Suddenly, a chime sound was blasted in the air. The promise was made. No one could make a promise on the Yakutia river unless they were prepared for only pain if they broke it. I was almost surprised when Delan wasn't sucked out of the universe. He wasn't wrong. I almost broke down into tears, but instead, I screamed. "They can't here you. Sound proof." Delan said in an almost eerily cheerful voice. That didn't stop me. I wanted to vent my frustration out until Delan was deaf. "Hey, can you atleast stop? Otherwise we'll both end up in a car crash-" And that was when it hit us. Or atleast, the truck did. I watched as this monster roared in defiance and charged at us without stopping. My eyesight went dark as pain reached every tip of my body.
