I was sitting in the boring subway, boredly studying and posters on the wall. It was so dreadfully quiet I could hear the turning of each page, each sigh and the tapping of a businessman's finger on the railing. We were going through a dark tunnel, one covered in moss with most of the dim lights broken. But something seemed off, like really off. I can feel fear build up in my heart, I try to ignore but it spreads like wildfire. The worst part was I could almost here a clock tik counting down the seconds.
Veeeeerrrr
Just like that the train halted to a stop but one thing was for sure, it didn't stop on it's own, something stopped it. Murmers passed around the train station. Everyone was confused on why the train car stopped. It all went silent for just a second, one split second. Then it all fell apart, glass shattered, metal creaked. Something was inside the driver's chamber.
Thump, thump, thump
Each inhumane step thundering the whole car. Then screams followed, screams of agony. Shattering, crunching and roaring. I heard splattering as the man shrieked and pleaded. But what was the worst was the loud panting, panting no human could of made. The second one was also devoured, this one faster. The monster now knew just how good human tasted, and was on an endless hunger for more. It also seemed to love the screams as it ate them alive.
"Please, spare me" the second driver screamed. Seconds later it all went quiet, the creature no longer had any live prey.
We were sitting ducks now
Someone in our cabin screamed, huge mistake. Because now the beasts attention was on us. It slammed its fists onto the door separating the drivers cabin and ours. Dent after dent, it was only getting closer to all of us.
Slam
The metal door slammed to the ground. It was pure black and humanoid, larger and lankier with sunk in ribs. It looked like it had been dead for years, it had glowing yellow eyes and was blood soaked. It panted as its creaky head looked between all of us. It crunched and creaked as it walked.
Look away
A voice in my head says. Someone looked into its eyes. Its droopy mouth opened and sharp yellow teeth were apparent. It pounced, the agonizing screams returned. Blood splattered on the walls and soaked me. Its claws ripped the man apart until nothing recognizable remained. It could only kill when you looked into its eyes
Its eyes were on me next
I covered my eyes with my hands, shaking with fear. It stood over me, I could feel it's hot breath on me, waiting for me to look at it.
Waiting to pounce
Its neck craned, trying to peer through the cracks, I trembled with fear. Tears dripped from my eyes as I sobbed and trembled. It gave up and killed another.
This was the start of the beginning of the end
