It was the entrance ceremony of Carmen Rene Memorial School, and although there wasn't a rain cloud in sight, a slight chill filled the air. A total of 160 students entered the school auditorium, including Chail, Mieal, and Mia. Each student had a designated seat, with rows of iron fold chairs arranged in two columns from left to right, and each row containing four seats from top to bottom.
It wasn't me
The 160 students gathered in the auditorium, each taking their designated seat. It had been two hours since the entrance ceremony began and now the principal stood on the stage, addressing the school rules. Chail focused intently on the principal's speech, but amidst the seriousness, he noticed a few people quietly laughing. Though he wasn't bothered by who was laughing, but his curiosity began to get the best of him.
Chail glanced over to see who was laughing and noticed two boys. ("Why are they laughing?") he wondered, ("Don't they know it's against the rules to talk during the entrance ceremony?") He observed that the boys were playing with something in their hands but decided not to pay much attention to their activities. Instead, he focused on attentively listening to the principal's speech.
Within five seconds of starting to listen to the speech, he suddenly felt a rush of air sweep past his right ear. In that very moment, he caught a glimpse of something white whiz by his line of sight and strike the back of the person's neck who was sitting in front of him.
Chail was overcome with a wave of intense fear as worry consumed him. With trembling anticipation, he watched as the person in front of him turned their head to take a glance in his direction. Initially uncertain, Chail realized it was a girl, though her boyish appearance had initially thrown him off.
Chail could sense her anger, and deep inside, he felt a wave of fear despite maintaining a blank expression on his face. She locked her gaze with his for what felt like an eternity, but then turned her attention back to the principal's speech. Chail unconsciously released a sigh of relief, although he couldn't shake the feeling that she suspected him of hitting her on the back of her neck. "I should apologize," Chail muttered to himself.
Even though it wasn't his fault, Chail didn't want to leave any negative encounters with her. "Jeez, I just got to this school and I'm already facing problems," he thought. While he was contemplating, the culprits continued to quietly laugh, aggravating him even more. However, he realized that there was nothing he could do as the damage had already been done.412Please respect copyright.PENANA9f93QATidh
