This is kind of in another era. Like, in the 90s. I like those stories. Also, this is BL.
It's also romance (as always)
but technically it goes like this.
There's this very big production team that partnered with, like, the Police or FBI or something or whatever it is equivalent to FBI before. And they go around the world going on "missions" for fun, like, busting scams or something. Those scams that sell fake uhhhh thingies... fake stuff... fake uhhhh what do you call it... Fake souvenirs..? Oh, fake artefacts.
So, yeah, they go around the world doing that. So they went to this country (which I was too lazy to make up) and the host of the "mission" or something met a guy who was like, y'know, the shop-keeper and stuff.
So yeah, at first they got this love-hate relationship until it's just "love" uwu BUT NOT YET THOUGH. So, uhhh, the host or leader of the "mission" really wants to get to the bottom of this which Shopkeeper found very stupid and reckless and he got mad and they got into a fight (this is when they got close but not 'together' yet iykwim). So the scam thingy is actually a big thing in that part of the country and there were gangs actually LIVING OFF of the scam money and it's a pretty big organization. Shopkeeper has 5 adopted siblings which he takes care of. He met the children tucked away in a corner and took them in. Shopkeeper gets is living off of the gang and stuff so he really needs it. So his point is something like, "It's none of your business. This is how we make a living for our loved ones. Don't get blinded by your ideals" or something.
So Shopkeeper has this close friend who took HIM in when he was a kid and that friend is an old guy who was a big part of the gang. Kind of like his counsellor.
So anyway stuff happens (Namely, when they start to get close, Shopkeeper and the other guy, the other guy's like FBI thingy busts Shopkeeper so he goes to jail) and then i got too lazy to make up the rest. But yeah.
