I used this website to get ideas and get my brain up and going, then I came up with the rest. (You should write it simply because I want to read it.) Lol
So here's my suggestion:

Genres: Dark Fantasy/Fantasy with a hint of romanticism
Setting: In a world populated by humans, elves, and dragons (and possibly others, but I'll leave that up to you). The story begins with the girl sitting under a symbolic willow tree reading. There are several kingdoms, one of which is a human monarchy that believes it is the sole kingdom. Then there's the Elve kingdom, which has a tiny royal family that lives in a cottage house so that humans don't find out.

Main character #1: (For the time being, we'll call her Alice so I need not say "the girl") A peasant girl who lives on the outskirts of the main (human) kingdom region.
Main character #2: Main character #2: An elven prince whose parents are the royal elves that humans are unaware of. His parents "dislike" him; he has a small sister who is his parents favorite; and he is treated more like a servant than a prince.

My idea for the book: Alice meets the eleven princes one day while reading under the willow tree. The tree is directly on the border of the elves' and humans' homes (both royals are in the heart of their regions). Humans are disliked by the elves, and vice versa. Alice is simply a peasant, but the two become friends, and the elf tells her about the royal problems on his side and someone (human or other if there are others just not an elf) overhears or something, Then there's another dispute about the kingdoms because that's how the elf's kingdom vanished the first time. Over time, the elf falls in love with Alice, and she realizes they can't be together. Because of all the problems and wars going on. And what happens at the end who knows?

If you want to write it and need a co-writer, let me know. I've never written fantasy and just read it occasionally, but I believe it would be interesting to try.
I was gonna make a possible cover but didn't like any I made.
