Hmmm. This seems to be a great addition to my anthology. Ahh, this makes me happy.
On the other side of the window lies a new world. A world of free breezes and swaying grasses. How I wish I could roll on those fields. Sadly, I am here in this suffocating room. This four-cornered room and with these people beside me. With only one person at the front talking non-stop. Nothing in this room represents freedom. Nothing here presents a free breeze. Nothing ---

"Are you listening, Mr.?" The person in front suddenly spoke to me with his brows raised.
"Yes, I am, sir," I answered.
"Hey, are you daydreaming again?" the person on my right looked at me as I spoke.
"I don't do that," I answered. She smiled at me suspiciously, as if I were a suspicious person.
"That's all. I'll end it for now. Don't forget your assigned work. Tomorrow is the deadline." The person in front spoke again.
"Yes, sir!" the whole class responded in chorus.
The class is done. The bells rang. I felt great relief.
I step out the classroom. Then I saw Aiem.
"Club activities?" he said.
"Yes," I answered.
"Okay. Let's go home together," he added.
"Of course," I agreed.
I went directly to our clubroom. My only repose.
I arrived at the room. I opened it and went directly to the window. I slid the window open, and the breeze went in. This is life. On the other side of the window is a meadow. A variety of wildflowers are present. And it is not too shrubby; it is enough to lay upon. Perfect for a picnic.
I grabbed a chair and sat by the window. Get my pen and my pocket notebook. I'm ready to write something more.
Moments later, a girl came into the room.
"You're early even today. Do you hate your classroom that much to leave the second you can? Or you're just eager to see me?"88Please respect copyright.PENANAbbwWhA8iPL
She spoke in a monotone voice.
"I really can't read you. Your goofy remarks make you goofy or cheeky, but your voice says otherwise," I responded.
"It's because I'm a book," she replied.
"No, you're not. I can't even read you like I said," I answered.
"It's your loss," she answered while sitting at the desk and starting to read a book.
I ignored her and continued my busy life.
Breeze is a great thing.
No.
The lush field veiled the wide field.
No.
The flower's aroma veiled the lush field.
No.
The trees dance to the breeze's tune.
Ahhhh!! I can't. This is not good!
I scratched my head in annoyance while scratching out the words in my pocket note.

"Want some chocolates?" someone interrupted me with a monotonous voice.
"No thanks. I'm good." I rejected the offer.
"Writing needs energy, you know. Your brain needs it," she insisted.
I grabbed the chocolate and thanked her.
"You know you can go out," she said. "Maybe you can find the perfect words you're looking for," she added.
"You know what? You're right." I agreed. "But you'll be alone here. Are you fine with it?" I pointed out.
"I was always alone in here before you came. I can see no reason why that's an issue," she answered.
"You know what? You can have cheeky remarks, but you are just a cold senior, I have," I replied.88Please respect copyright.PENANAZvPMfXohCj
"I'll go out now; thank you for the trouble," I said as I left the room.
I'm affiliated with the literature club at this school. She's Vant, my only senior. I heard that all the club's seniors graduated when she first joined. So she was alone. And then I came in, so we're the only members of the literature club. I find it hard to believe that this club hasn't disbanded.
She exaggerated that she had been alone for a long time. When I sum it up, it was only 2 months. She's a year ahead of me, now that I remember. I joined the literature club because of an accident.
As I was walking down the hallway, the door of the clubroom was open. And I saw the enchanted meadow I always admired. I went in without thinking and leaned. Then there she is in the other corner of the room. She said if I would like to see that scenery everyday, I have to join the club. And then, the rest is history.

I walked on the meadow, the same meadow I see by the window in our clubroom. And the same lush scenery I see in my classroom.
I walked and sat in the middle of the field, where there is a big tree. The breeze is so cool. It's so fresh. Everything here is so relaxing. The lush field was painted with an orange hue by the setting sun. Majestic is the only word I can think of.88Please respect copyright.PENANAaBEHRaPB8U
Okey, okey. I think I can write something now. Let's see.
A bud, a flower
Leaves, caterpillar.
Fairy? Fantasy?
Sunset, dusk, and twilight

A fae's chrysalis
In verdant twilight, I see
Metamorphosis

I'm so good. Praise me, oh Mother Nature!
I smiled as I felt content and proud of what I wrote. Then I took a deep breath and let out a sigh. I savored the peaceful afternoon's blessings as I leaned my back towards the sturdy trunk of the tree.
Moments passed, and I realized that I had taken a lot of time. It's time to head back.
I had to thank Vant for her suggestion.
I arrived at the clubroom and came in.
"I wrote something. Thank you very much." I greeted her.
"That's good to know. So...?" she answered open-ended.
88Please respect copyright.PENANA4mBE0AOwGO
"What?" I asked in confusion.
"It's a common courtesy that when you tell someone you wrote something, you have to tell them what it is," she explained while reading her book.
"Wait, what?" I shrieked. "I never knew that kind of courtesy," I added. No, no, I don't share poems. I'm not ready. It's totally embarrassing. That's something I can never do. Common courtesy? Is that the rule of this club? Or a societal norm? It's the norm, isn't it? Am I anti-social for not knowing that?

Do I need more friends?

"I was just kidding," she said with her usual voice.
I just stared at her with contempt and dissatisfaction.
I just went on my way to get my things. And ignored her.
"I'll head out first," I said as I stepped out of the room.
"Suit yourself," she responded.
88Please respect copyright.PENANA6XCW890U86
I really can't read her.
"Zehgeh!" Someone desecrated my name.
"You done?" I asked.
"Yes, let's go!" he answered. "Man, I think we'll have a shot."
"Your team has potential now?" I asked.
"There are a lot of great players on our team. I'm sure of it. You should join too," he proclaimed.
"You're kidding. I can't even run that fast." I scoffed.
"That's alright. It is trainable. Then you just build your body, then your throwing skills, then your sensibility, then your catching skills,88Please respect copyright.PENANA4sNCJrtL9v
then your batting skills, then
"See? Many. It's a pain."
"Hahaha! You should try it. So, how's your club?" he asked.
"So, so. My senior is incomprehensible," I answered.
"That's great," he chuckled.
"What do you even mean by that?"
"I don't know," he said while laughing.
I sighed deeply.
He's Aeim, my friend. We've known each other for a long time. I guess he's my childhood friend? Yep, that's it. He is a member of the baseball club. He's good at it. Well, since he's my friend, I'd say he's the best at it. I think he'll become the ace of our school's team. Or even becoming a pro one day. His stature is high. His body is built like an athlete's, of course.
He has an oval-shaped face. He has wide eyes. Not literally wide, but his personality makes his eyes wide, I guess? He is such a joyful person. very outgoing. He has a narrow, triangular nose and a perfect smile. I guess that's why so many girls flock to him. And that is why he is the perfect ace of the team! For playing and advertising.
Moments after walking and making small talk, we arrived at an intersection. This is where we part.
"Bye Zeige, I'll go this way." He waved.
"Bye, see you tomorrow." I waved back, and we walked our separate ways.
I arrived at my home after a few walks and entered.
"Welcome home. How's school?" My mom greeted me with a smile.
"It's well, mom. Is dad home?"
"Not yet; why do you ask?"
"Nothing."
"Change your clothes now," Mom ordered.
I went to my room and changed my clothes.
"Zeeegg!" my mom called. "Buy me some lightbulbs at the convenience store, please. The one in the bathroom broke," mom requested.
"Ok mom."
I headed out as soon as I received the money.
I went to the store and bought the item. Along the way. I see a park with a playground. It seems empty. Well, it's dark already. I decided to sit on the swing.
The silence of the dark park reverberates throughout the city.
Hmmm.. That's a nice theme.
Suddenly, a tall silhouette is approaching me. The light of the lamppost shines against the man's figure, leaving his front body covered in shadows.
I braced myself.
I want to run.
Here he comes.

"Have you seen Phren?"
"What?"
"Phren?"
A dog?
"I'm sorry, I haven't."
"Okey, Thanks."
He said that, then went out on his way. What a weird fellow. A stalker? Lost dog? I almost hit him with the grocery bag I was carrying.
I stood up and went home carrying that horrific experience.
"Mom, here's the bulb."
"Change the lightbulb, please. The one in the bathroom."
"Okey."
Bedtime. I lay down, reminiscing about my day.
Wow, I can't believe today is a busy day. Fruitful poems, a helpful senior, and a weird encounter. Well, sometimes we get those kinds of events. Let's sleep. Shit, my homework!
"Did you submit your homework?"
"Yes."
SAFE!! I just finished the homework on which I put a lot of effort last night. All the energy of procrastination poured into that homework. Wow, I should be praised for my talent.
"You pulled an all-nighter? You should turn in early tonight," the classmate beside me once again commented.
"Why would I? I'm not sleepy at all, and I did not procrastinate." I stand. Are you a psychic?
"What? I didn't say anything about procrastination. Was that the case?" she replied.
"Whaa, ahh, just forget it." She's a mentalist.88Please respect copyright.PENANAPcOapIUAzQ
Then she smiled at me and faced me.
I am drowsing through the whole class. It seems that I can't fight this feeling. Hold on. It's almost ending. I'm going to sleep in the club. Fight the sleep!
Bell rings. Let's go!! Let's sleep in the room! Let's go!
I hurriedly went to the room. I heard Aeim shouting my name and saying he couldn't go home with me, so I just gave him a thumbs up.
I arrived at the clubroom and saw her.
"You arrived," she greeted me.
"You're earlier than me?" I asked.
"Is there any problem?" she asked.
"Nope, not a thing," I said to end the conversation. I want to sleep. Small talks aren't necessary.
I grabbed a chair and sat on it by the window. I leaned back to get into a comfortable position to try to sleep.
"You won't work on your haiku?" she asked suddenly. That's strange; I haven't told anyone about these poems.
"No."
"That's too bad. No addition to your anthology, I guess?"
What the? My eyes opened wide.
"Hey, are you a stalker?" I told her off.
"Beats me."
"Hey, hey! I haven't told a single soul about this."
"Every poet wants to have an anthology, you know. So why Haiku?"
What? every poet? What does she mean?
"So, why haiku? It is shorter and more restrictive than other types."
"Don't diss it like that. Haiku is the best! The restriction makes you more imaginative. The rules make you resourceful with words! This brings the best imaginable resourcefulness of every poet! Nothing, and nothing will make me stop making haiku!" I defended with all my being.
"Okey okey. Suit yourself," she responded.
Why you! Started an argument, then dropped me off! I don't like you!
"That's sour. I'll go out," I said, and I went out.
Where am I going?
Okay, I have an idea.
Sleeping under that tree.
Dozing off under that marvelous tree
That may give me the tranquility of sleep.
Than there in the room with someone that sours the atmosphere. tch.

I decided, and I went to the tree. Sat beside it. Leaning my back I covered my eyes with a handkerchief and dozed off.

Moments later, my tranquil slumber was disturbed. I hear the rustling of the wildflowers. The sound of the swaying grass is different.88Please respect copyright.PENANA4pbTlTtVwf
Is someone there?

It was still blurry.

I saw a silhouette.

A female figure.
