I closed my eyes and smiled as I drummed the beats to the song. Though I was unable to sing, music had still always been a huge part of my life. It allowed me to express my personality without the use of speaking. 

I discovered the symphonic metal band Sabaton when I was a teenager and ever since then they have been my all time favorite. I learned more about history through their songs than I ever did in school. The first time I went to one of their concerts, I became so absorbed in the music. There was something about being there in person that made the music feel so much more powerful. 

However, never in a million years would I have ever imagined my dream would come true.What started with thinking I was going to die turned out to be the best night of my life, and the start of the best part of my life.
