I can't believe I'm writing this, but Through the Wormhole Act I, my beloved baby I've worked on since 8th grade, is a Grand Favorite of the Ambys 2024 on Wattpad! How? I'm still in shock, but I thought I might have a chance between Messummer's achievement in the Ambys 2022 and Infrared's achievements in the Ambys 2023 and 2023 Nano Watt Awards. Through the Wormhole is a serialized story, though, meaning its Acts are published separately as individual novellas. I wondered how that would play out in the Ambys, but here we are.
After looking at all the other excellent writers, I'm still shocked the Ambassadors chose Through the Wormhole as a Grand Favorite. Thank you so much, Ambassadors, for recognizing all genres and showing equality in your Amby Awards. That's the reason why I prefer it over the Wattys and why I keep coming back. You guys are amazing, and I loved the bee theme for the Ambys this year. It was buzztastic! Keep working hard to recognize those undiscovered gems who deserve a chance in the spotlight that Wattpad may never give them. And thank you again for your dedication to everyone and every genre on Wattpad.
