The bathroom wall is my home. I don't know my appearance, but I can help everyone else know theirs.
Every morning, the family comes to me. They brush their teeth, with that tired look in their eyes. The father shaves his face. The mother puts cream on her face. The daughter puts on makeup. The son makes faces at me.
I see their faces every day, and I know them better than anyone. I know the faces that they make when no one else sees. When they are angry and they stare at me like they want to smash me. When they've cried and they want to check if they have red eyes afterwards. When they're anxious and they talk to me.
I see all the medicine they put on the shelf, I know their favorite scents in hand soaps, their favorite colors on the toothbrushes. I am the first and last thing they see every day.172Please respect copyright.PENANAX8enxWjaXc
I know who they are inside. I can't show them that, though. Only who they are on the outside. I wish I could.
