It was midnight, a man was walking through the heavy snow. He was surrounded by fog as he carried a lantern to find his way home. His breathing becomes increasingly heavy at an alarming rate, his expression, full of fear and desperation, as the cold temperature starts to catch up to him and makes his skin feel a tingling sensation. The wind howled, the snowing only seemed to get worse and the man started to cough up blood. He retches it out, his body crumpling into the ground as the coughing slowly turns into vomiting, staining the snow red. His vision clouds as he lies there. His life flashed before his eyes as he remembered the events which would lead to his death.
A cackle filled the air, a woman floating down onto the ground as she entered the ghastly scene of events.
“This is what you get… Mr. Edwards,” She let out a shrill laugh that sounded like a shriek of a raven.
The man slowly looked up, staring at her in his final moments as he saw her soft pale red lips and white pale skin, her dark hair matted with dried blood and oil.
His lips pursed as he mustered the last of his remaining strength, looking up at her with pleading eyes, “Adriane… please forgive me…”
The woman stares at him with disgust, “Why would I… forgive you?”
The man looks up at her in fear as a slit smile slowly crept onto her face, “You poured your treasure into my step-sister’s foreign lap!”
"I beg of thee, please spare my life! I will never do infidelity, or even think of it again!" The man cried out, tears of horror falling from his eyes upon the snow.
"What you have done, Mr. Edwards... will leave a curse on you and your descendants!" The woman cried out, laughing hysterically. "And not just any curse Mr. Edwards, you and your descendants will be haunted by the demons that once took your ancestors!"
As sudden as she was there, a cloud of smoke surrounds her and a moment after... she is gone.
Mr. Edwards looks around the scene, trying to grasp what had just happen, but before he could do anything, his vision became red and blurry as his pain became unbearable.
