Venti the conqueror was staring out his window, looking at his troops.
a servant knocked on the door and entered the door, ‘My Lord, the troops are outfitted with the best possible armor and weapons and are ready to go.’
‘Good’ Venti showed no emotion on his face.
He left the room to go to the army.
He was amazed by what he was able to pull together.
when people looked at him 10 years ago, they would have seen a young woman, but now that everyone knew who he was, they knew that he was a man of strength, skill and discipline.
After all, he did manage to kill the entire former Elite knight force of Frytic, the kingdom that was now ruled by him.

when Venti stood on stage, he started to speak to his army.
‘Soldiers! After so many years of being suppressed by Murdoch and that puny king of theirs, King Nos, we will take what always should’ve been ours!’
The crowd roared in anger.
Venti smiled. This army was so much like him, almost like father and son.
‘Everyone, follow me!’ he yelled out, before stepping on his horse and riding north, towards the border with Murdoch, to win a war.
Three knights were playing cards on the wall between Murdoch and Frytic.
One of the three said: ‘Royal Flush!’
‘We’re not playing poker, and none of us is a king on the toilet.’ another said.
The last guy was looking over to the Frytic side of the wall, squinting his eyes.
He thought he was hallucinating. He saw an enormous army coming towards them.
‘Guys, do you see that army too?’ he asked.
‘Yes.’ they both said.
‘I’ll report to the king.’
Now the knight, named Baldwin, was riding his horse toward Tarrin, the capital of Murdoch.
Catalina was drawing in her room, but she couldn’t get that one man she saw in the corridor out of her head.
In just the few seconds she saw him, she knew she felt when she was near him.
She thought this was because she felt nervous about something, like she read in the books, but a nervous feeling felt negative, this was a positive feeling.
After Catalina stopped drawing, she stood up and got to the library.
She looked for a book about feelings, but even after it had become night, she couldn’t find one, maybe because feelings are unpredictable, she thought.
Catalina sighed. ‘i should probably get some sleep.’ she said.

On the way to her room, she passed the same corridor where she first met the man.
She couldn’t believe she still didn’t know his name.
Catalina bumped into someone, being lost in thought.
‘Oh, I’m sorry.’ She said.
the man bowed, ‘No, I’m sorry princess, I’m in a hurry.’ the man said, seemingly a knight, before running off.
She kept walking.

Catalina wasn’t entirely sure what she was supposed to think of it all.
She knew she couldn’t fall in love with him, he was but a…
But a what?
She didn’t know anything of him.
She did know he wasn’t royal, or a duke, for she would have seen him before.
He was important enough to be escorted by a knight though.
But the clothes he wore weren’t exactly expensive, she could see that much.
Was he carrying something in his clothes perhaps?
She tried to recall whatever he had with him, but couldn’t.
Then Catalina saw him, leaving the new building behind the castle.
She felt nervous again, but knew she had to talk to him.
But she felt too nervous, and what was she going to say anyway?
She kept walking, but felt herself drawn to the man.

He came to her, apparently he had to go through this corridor.
When he walked by he bowed shortly and said: “Good evening princess Catalina.”
Knowing she wouldn’t have this chance again, she said: “Oh please, just Catalina, I’m so sick of the formalities all day, please just treat me as an equal, then i will do so as well to you.”
“I can get behind that.” he said.
“What’s your name?” She asked, feeling her heart flutter.
“I’m Boomy.” He said, “Royal smith, to your service.”
“Well Boomy, how are you doing today?” She asked, trying to remain formal, even though she hated it.
“I am doing well” He answered, “today i discovered I have countless blacksmiths at my service to help me forge the weapons. How about you?”
“Can i be honest?” she asked Boomy.
“Sure.”
Catalina started with “Well, being a princess isn’t as fun as most young girls might think. I feel imprisoned.”
“Oh, can’t you do anything since you’re royal and all?” He asked Catalina.
“No, it’s basically an golden prison, I’m in golden handcuffs. Luckily i can still draw, otherwise i would be going crazy.”

Boomy was walking with the princess, who had asked to treat her like an equal, not like anyone above him.
Surprisingly, that was fairly easy.
They had been talking for a while now, about all problems life could bring for a princess and a royal smith.
After a while, Boomy had an idea, “Hey Catalina, i have an idea, it might be fun, but kinda dangerous.”
“What is it?”
“We dress you as, well, a non-princess, and we get you to escape and experience the peasant life for a little while.”
