Every night she would have the same dream, a dream accompanied by restless moans and a unquiet body that knew not the meaning of peace.

It was a dream like no other, a dream comprised of preposterous and inane horrors never before seen in the real world. It was a dream, a nightmare of monsters, demons of the white eyes and the clear see through wings, and yet the worse thing wasn't the monster themselves, it was the stain of crimson, the streams of endless blood and dead bodies, that was the true horror.

"NO!" The girl yelled as she awoke from bed, throwing the covers off of her sweat covered body.

Julie May knew that she would not get one moment of soothing sleep, it seemed to be inevitable that the same nightmare that had plagued her dreams since she was five years old would still continue to haunt her to this day.

Julie brushed the dripping sweat from her brow as she struggled to catch her breath. "God dammit." She whispered to herself as she slowly got out of bed.

It was 6:30am and Julie's room was filled to the brim with the cold air that herald the coming morning. Julie hated the cold, she hated the numbness that touched her skin, and yet she would not go back to sleep, no she would get ready for school.

Julie ploddingly got dress, the bags under her eyes ever present. She combed her long black hair, she brushed her pearly white teeth and got dress in casual cloths along with her favorite grey hoodie. Soon with her backpack over her shoulder Julie exited her room and leisurely walked into the dining room, where her mother was making breakfast.

Julie sat down at the dining room table and rubbed her eyes trying to remove the drowsiness and fatigue as a yawn escaped her lips.

"And a good morning to you to." Julie's mom, Jennifer May said as she walked towards the table holding a plate full of scrambled eggs, beacon, as well as two pieces of toast.

"Your up early." Jennifer said as she sat down next to her daughter.

"I hate taking it, I don't want to seem like some kinda crazy person." Julie said annoyed.

"Julie their is nothin wrong with..."

"Yea what ever." Julie said cutting her mother off.

Julie stood up and walked towards the front door. She didn't want to listen to her mothers wants and desires, nor did she feel like being comforted like a weak person.

"Julie!" Jennifer shouted as she followed her daughter.

Julie walked through the neighborhood enraged as her mind drifted to the words of her mother and the horrible thought of medicine. She detested the very idea of sleep and dreams because it was sleep that had caused this problem in the first place. These thoughts fueled her rage like gasoline to fire and yet they would begin to fade as beautiful lights all wielding a different color flew through her brown hair

Julie smiled as she gazed at the small lights the size of a baseball. She smiled as the world that was once so full of darkness seems to light up as these small lights radiated all throughout the neighborhood.

Julie didn't know what these small things where, she didn't know where they came from or even what they where called, she only knew two things for sure. What ever these little lights where, they where ridiculously fast, even now Julie could hardly see them as they darted from one place to the other with amazing speed. The second thing Julie knew with great confidence was that she seemed to be the only person who could see these tiny wonders.

Julie brought her gaze up to the blue sky, she focused her eyes as much she could and she saw them, creatures of massive proportion flying high deep within the clouds. She looked towards the people who she called her neighbors and of course the people who where nothing but strangers and yet still she saw them, little creatures that stood perched on peoples shoulder, or hidden within the shadows of the large houses. This was her world, the world of the unseen.

"You can see them can't you?"

Julie stops walking and looks to her right, it was then she noticed him sitting on a wooden bench. Who she saw was a young boy who looked to be around her age, a young boy covered with a black blanket and who's hair was pure white with small blue flakes at the the very end of each strand.

"I'm sorry?" Julie asked while looking at the strange boy who was currently smiling at her.
280Please respect copyright.PENANAyKhPBD3Fej
"You can see them can't you?" The boy repeated.
280Please respect copyright.PENANAtE5U13tjDj
Julie was taken back from the boys words she couldn't help but wonder was this white haired boy like her, could he really see the things that she could.
280Please respect copyright.PENANAvbV3IzdmB2
The boys smile grew wider as he saw Julie contemplating his question. "You may be able to see them but that's not the true question."
280Please respect copyright.PENANAA2bWaDJOHQ
"Question? What question?" Julie asked.
280Please respect copyright.PENANADzd8EDEBBt
"The question is wether or not you can hear it."
280Please respect copyright.PENANAoK9Br4HRnU
Julie stood even more confused. "Hear what?"
280Please respect copyright.PENANApGioz2gpTK
"Can you hear the Fairy's songs"280Please respect copyright.PENANAUF0tZmBbH0

The boy’s words sent a shiver down Julie’s spine. She had never heard of anything like this before. Fairy songs? It sounded like something out of a fantasy novel. But here she was, face to face with someone who seemed to know something she didn’t.280Please respect copyright.PENANAW9ZUB8lqt2
