"Iyana move your ass!"
Thankfully, The three made it out and are now dashing through the halls. No clear destination in sight, but they need to get away from whatever the fuck these things are.
Suddenly the glass window crumbles as something launches itself through. Iseul's legs buckle due to the sudden weight and she falls to the floor.
She is fighting it off the best she can avoiding the restless attempts to bite her flesh. Iseul notices a glistening glass shard next to her and moves quickly. She pierces the thing's neck allowing its velvet liquid to flow onto her face.
"Fuck it got in my mouth! What the fuck!" She screams as Iyana's boyfriend helps her up to fasten their pace. As they dodge the clumsy students they dash around the corner where the noise is less deafening.
"Go to the bathroom!" Iyana screams to the two traveling behind her. Each of them desperately runs into a stall for safety and to catch their breath.
Kyung-soo grabs onto his girlfriend's huffing face and peers into her eyes to hopefully provide comfort.
In the other stall, Iseul is busy wiping the questionable liquid off her heated face. "I just fucking bought this man," she whines glancing at the once-clean hoodie which is now littered with stains.
"Shut the fuck up damn!" A rough voice instructs from the stall next to her. Iseul picks up on the noises which sound like someone sparking up.
"Hold on... is that," Iseul smirks as she recognizes the rude voice. She carefully begins to balance on the toilet seat and peers over into the stall. "Hey, bae!" Iseul waves down at Mi-jin, who is currently preoccupied with blowing smoke out of her mouth. "What the hell did I tell you about smoking cigarettes!?"
Mi-jin scowls and stares at the pestering girl, "Please be quiet unless you really want to die."
"Listen to her please," Iyana enters the conversation as Kyung-soo snickers.
"Shut the fuck up dick sucker," she retorts but settles down anyway.
Iseul sits down on the toilet seat below her not caring how dirty it is considering her situation.
What the fuck is happening?
Zombies?
She scoffs at the absurd idea. Movies and shows featuring fictional monsters are fake. But here they are in her school no less. Her heartbeat picks up as her mind rushes to the worst possibilities imaginable.
What will happen to her? Don't get her wrong she isn't a wimp, she will fight until her last breath. But what of her sisters? She knows she can give less of a fuck about the woman who gave birth to all three of them. Can she protect them though?
But her mini panic attack is interrupted as hushed voices enter the tense and polluted air.
"When the fuck did they get here?" She mutters confused about the new pair of voices she is hearing.
"We can't go out now." A male voice whimpers, "I'm sure they're still out there."
"Who's smoking in this situation?"
"Who are you to hide in the girls' bathroom? Be a man. Wimp." Mi-jin fires back.
"Oh, she ate you up," Iseul snickers.
"Why, you... Who are you?" The boy asks.
"Just hush," Iseul responds as if she wasn't responsible for noise making just a moment ago.
"Leave her alone. It's Mi-jin," an unknown girl speaks up.
"Mi-jin? Park Mi-jin?"
"Yes... Joon-seong... I'm really dizzy."
"Is it bad? What do we do?" Joon-seong calmly asks.
"Everything sounds muffled, and I'm really dizzy," she exasperates.
"Ha-lim, it's probably just from the shock. Let's go to the hospital once things calm outside, okay?" He tries to reassure her.
A sudden restroom door squeaks open and Iseul looks over the stall to see it's Mi-jin. "Bitch I know you did not just walk out." Mi-jin rolls her eyes and bangs on the noisy duo's stall.
"What is it? Who is it?" Joon-seong asks perplexed.
"Hey, open up!" Mi-jin demands banging on the door repeatedly. Joon-seong swings the door open only for Mi-jin to grab him by the collar and throw him to the side.
"What are you doing?" Mi-jin doesn't bother with a response as she grabs the plunger and shoves the shaky girl back.
"What's wrong?" She worriedly asks as Mi-jin's eyes search her. Mi-jin roughly grabs her shirt and her eyes widen on que—a scarlet mark, a bite mark. She suddenly backs out of the stall holding the door closed as she shoves Joon-seong off her back.
"Listen carefully, you know how to play tag right? We're all hiding in here to get away from someone. But now... you're it." The girl begins to fight back wishing to free herself from the containment but Mi-jin won't budge.
"What are you doing!? Hold the door!" Mi-jin yells to Joon-seong.
"But Ha-lim..." the boy goes silent worried for the fate of his friend.
"I told you she was bit, get over here! You too Iseul!"
Iseul's face contorts, "Now why the hell would I do that?"
"You will if you want us to work again!"
"Dammit..." Iseul sighs as she calls out her Achilles heel. Her stall door swings open and she saunters over to the two, "If I don't survive this, I'm haunting your ass. You know what, better yet, I'm taking you with me bitch."
"Whatever! Just help me!"
The three work to hold and confine Ha-lim inside the skinny stall as she begs for her release. Iseul can feel the guilt seep into her heart, but she has people she needs to protect.
"If you let her out, we all die," Mi-jin states as she grips the wooden mop but that wasn't Iseul's main focus. It is the girl who was seemingly too weak to stand pulling herself up. "Oh hell no," Iseul squeaks as she backs up slowly. But Mi-jin is quick to react as she knocks the girl back with the mop, leaving her skull to collide with the toilet.
"If she turns we have to kill her," Mi-jin says to them both.
"Kill Ha-lim?" Joon-seong sputters with a horrified stare.
"She's not Ha-lim, she's a zombie. Do we have any other options?" Mi-jin searches for protest.
"Mi-jin, I can hear you.." Ha-lim responds but Iseul can spot the breathlessness in her hushed tone.
"I know." She responds bluntly.
"Must you do that if you know?"
"You're going to turn eventually." Iseul can read Mi-jin as she is slightly shaky, but the mask hides it well.
"I know but," Ha-lim pants through the violent twitches, "I'm going to kill you first. I'll kill you before I kill anyone else."
"Crazy bitch." Both Iseul and Mi-jin mutter out at the threat.
Iseul continues to flinch behind her ex-girlfriend as the noises are like nails to a chalkboard to her ears. The door continuously shakes as Mi-jin prepares to fight the monstrous girl.
The next few moments were fast-paced in the girl's eyes; Ha-lim's zombified body rushing toward the three as Mi-jin rushed toward with the makeshift weapon. It crashed through the thing once known as Ha-lim's throat, but that didn't stop the crazed creature.
The pierced body raging closer as Iseul's screams grew but peaked when an arrow zipped past her to land inside the zombie.
Iseul whips her head toward the new duo at the entrance of the bathroom and grasps her hoodie above her beating heart. "I can't handle this shit."
