(Lunch and conversation time concluded about an hour ago. I don't want to waste too much time, especially since Miss Voyles agreed to Miss Howell's request to spend a little more time with this solid team.)
(From the results of chatting in the Mexican burrito canteen, we easily shared information that extended to the realm of our residences.)
(Mr. Nick Gill resides in a simple single-story house on Whitehorse Drive, Dersingham, Norfolk. Meanwhile, Miss Voyles is in Beccles, Suffolk. The woman with ombre hair mentioned that when the three of us drop by, she happily welcomes our arrival.)
(For some reason, among the four of us, only Miss Alwen Howell and I have houses relatively close to each other. We both live in Norwich, the capital of Norfolk. From Brabazon Route, where I reside, to Wymer Street is only 4 km apart. Perhaps, if time permits, I will try to invite her to the Norwich 200 Market located in the city center. The Norwich Market is a special place that tourists must not miss.)
(At 03.40 PM, my two colleagues and I conducted an inspection near the Ferris Wheel, Bumper Car, and Carousel. Fortunately, no traces of Yellow Jacket Hornets were found. Because of this, our work was expedited. My two colleagues and I applied pesticides in hard-to-reach areas and some other insect repellent gels.)
(At 04.00 PM, we finally gathered at the Ferris Wheel. Mrs. Davies referred to it as the Georgina Wheel. She used the name of her late daughter who took her last breath at a large Norfolk hospital due to appendicitis. She mentioned that Georgina always used to ride the Ferris Wheel after school to peacefully and comfortably enjoy the Norfolk landscape.)
(True to its name, the 30-meter-high ride stood firm, resembling a wheel with 15 gondolas carrying up to 4 passengers each. This one had an antique white design. All of us, including Mrs. Davies, looked up, admiring the strength and beauty of that particular Ferris Wheel.)
"This is my beloved daughter's creation. It's really sad that no one is crowding this place," Mrs. Davies expressed.
"It won't be long, Miss Davies. We can divide tasks," I said, directing my gaze at Mr. Gill to signal his support.
"If necessary, cleaning the Ferris Wheel control room should be done. After that, my pest control team and I will work hard in case there are cockroach nests or other pests," .
"But, I didn't hire you for that… especially Mr. Gill," Mrs Davies replied.
"Well, freelancers also need to maintain good relationships with their clients, right? Besides, isn't dirt already part of the daily life of a mechanic, implied by oil or gasoline? Oh right! Carbon monoxide smoke is also aromatherapy in the workplace, isn't it?"
(Hearing Mr. Gill's remarks, everyone burst into uncontrollable laughter. We all let go of our inhibitions as Mr. Gill chatted away. Especially Miss Howell, who looked very graceful when she smiled.)
(Mrs. Davies, assisted by Miss Howell and two amusement park staff, including those manning the Ferris Wheel control room, began the cleanup. Despite her cheerful and somewhat humorous appearance, Miss Howell possessed hidden strength in her hands. When Mr. Gill and I witnessed how strong Miss Howell was, pulling a table with one hand, squeezing through a narrow gap, we were impressed. In terms of stamina, she was a champion, and in terms of precision, she deserved commendation.)
(Not long after, Mr. Gill also got caught up in the spirit. He moved aside, alone, and began unpacking his shoulder bag. I could see various types of cables, screwdrivers, and other supporting tools. I could assume that Mr. Gill not only understood machinery but also had expertise in electronics. Truly a special individual, especially for a freelancer. Or... was it because, as a freelancer, he was demanded to be more professional?)
(While my two colleagues, Larry and Parry, seemed unwilling to be left behind, preparing two plans. Common pesticides for the Ferris Wheel control room and its automatic engine room.)
(The next plan involved extreme pest extermination. Unfortunately, I couldn't allow a single Yellow Jacket Hornet to survive. The equipment Larry and I brought would be repurposed for suction rather than spraying. Therefore, we handed the spraying tank to Parry, which was replaced with a suction tank.)
(Fortunately, behind the Ferris Wheel, there was only a green grass field. Since I noticed some suspicious holes in the green grass, we hastened the process. It was simple. Larry and I would suction the adult Yellow Jacket Hornets, and Parry would have fun digging and pulling out their nest.)
(While Miss Voyles, who didn't have any additional tasks, mostly observed the others' work. Well, I considered her the medical team. If something happened, Miss Voyles would assist us. Not only that, we were relieved when Miss Voyles handed us her card, with "MPharm" written behind her name.)
(The job was exhausting but also the most enjoyable.)
(At 06:00 PM)
(The Ferris Wheel control room was cleaned, and pesticide spraying, along with the operational standards we applied during the clinic cleanup, was completed.)
(Mrs. Davies and three amusement park staff, including Miss Howell, lay on the grass due to exhaustion. Mr. Gill had also replaced several cables that were almost frayed, which could have caused a short circuit or even a fire. Meanwhile, a part of the hinge mechanism causing the Ferris Wheel rotation to jam was lubricated with special oil, and some spare parts were replaced. The damage wasn't too severe.)
(Meanwhile, the Ghostic Pest Control team had eradicated four nests from four ground holes. Two of them were four steps from the Ferris Wheel, and those two were also the largest nests, layered up to 0.8 meters high. Inspection in each Ferris Wheel gondola had been conducted, and not a single Yellow Jacket Hornet nest or perhaps the small pouches forming nests were found.)
(Then, at 07:00 PM, after everything was neatly arranged, both the mounds of soil we dug and the rearrangement of the Ferris Wheel control room, Mrs Davies didn't allow us to leave before having dinner and enjoying some free rides. Exactly as Miss Howell said earlier, but now Miss Howell was also allowed to ride. Today, Mrs. Davies' anxiety had been obliterated.)
(The lights illuminated the iron bars of the Ferris Wheel. While inside the gondolas suddenly became the focus of visitors, even though it was time for this amusement park to close, only for today its still open. Normalnya, it closes at 5 PM. Some visitors briefly looked at the large antique wheel to admire its colorful lights and confirm that the ride was ready for the next day. Some cheered happily.
(Dim light with various LED colors. Actually, it was a suggestion from Mrs. Davies' late daughter. Rather than regular lights, the colorful LED lights would make it more beautiful, as it was now. And of course, LEDs had a magical brightness.)
"It's finally back on the life! After a week of not operating, I started to get confused. Many visitors were waiting for this ride. Especially the young ones!"
(Unable to refute or add anything, seeing the sparkle in Mrs.Davies' eyes. Whether she remembered her late daughter when looking at the Ferris Wheel, or simply because the ride had not operated for a week, making her slightly nostalgic? Either way, we were all calm and happy.)
(After the break, dinner, and banter, we continued to enjoy ourselves for a while longer. The amusement park had closed at 7:00 PM, but we were still allowed to ride for free.)

(Of course, we didn't have much time, and the other staff members needed rest as well. We were also quite tired, so we decided to ride the Ferris Wheel.)
"Supposedly, the Giant Wheel can convey someone's feelings through the experience. My grandfather used to say, 'Through the fluttering in the stomach and the feeling of lightness as if walking in the sky, the Giant Wheel tries to dedicate each of its gondolas so that passengers can express honesty from the deepest part of their hearts.' Well, you might want to give it a try?" I suggested.
"Old words for an old person, is it time for nostalgic?" teased one of us.
(Hearing this banter, we all chuckled a bit, but as a consequence, Mrs. Davies lightly tapped Miss Howell's head. After dinner, we returned to the neatly trimmed grass, facing the Ferris Wheel, or the Georgina Wheel for Mrs Davies.)
"Unfortunately, my late daughter also had opinions about this. Don't you dare say anything bad about my daughter, Howell!"
(Mrs. Davies warned Miss Howell. They were a bit tipsy and joking with each other, and we were too.)
"Oh, really? Does your daughter also inherit it from her grandfather?" teased Mr. Marsh. "Yes, Mr. Marsh! I was surprised too. 'Perhaps what one person sees from this height is the same as another. Perhaps they have the same vision and mission in climbing the ladder of life in a place larger than this gondola? Except for those who don't.' Oh my goodness! Is my lineage poetic? Hohohoho!"
(Once again, Miss Howell tried to find an opening to make a joke with her boss, Mrs Davies. I thought they were quite close and somewhat suited to each other.)
(Following that suggestion, we started to ride in pairs. Six people, three gondolas. I empathized with my two colleagues who had to ride in pairs, Larry and Parry. But the crucial part was the other two pairs.)
(Perhaps what one person sees from this height is the same as another. Perhaps they have the same vision and mission in climbing the ladder of life in a place larger than this gondola? Except for those who don't.)
Or...
(Through the fluttering in the stomach and the feeling of lightness as if walking in the sky, the Giant Wheel tries to dedicate each of its gondolas so that passengers can express honesty from the deepest part of their hearts.)
(Initially, those words were just a joke, but they quickly became engraved in our minds after we rode in pairs. Mr. Gill with Miss Voyles, and I with Miss Howell.)
(I didn't consider it cliché, but perhaps this was the last chance? The moment when we connected with each other. Whether it was because of Mrs Davies' words about the Giant Wheel, it was real. At that moment, Mr. Gill, Miss Howell, Miss Voyles, and I had a shared thought. It was as if we would always meet at another Ferris Wheel point.)
(That… was the first meeting, we started exchanging news until our next meeting.
(But... somehow...)
(I also found it strange that each subsequent meeting always left an impression on the Ferris Wheel?)
(The Ferris Wheel provided us with an opportunity.)
