Song: Killer by The Ready Set
Part 2 of 2

After a half hour, and three cups of soda, nothing much had happened yet. The only thing that was even remotely interesting that had happened was that two guys had found out that they were going to prom with the same girl, and had a fight about it. But this didn’t last long, and it didn’t even turn physical.
He sighed, and peeled himself off of the wall. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the air conditioner had been turned off not even ten minutes after he had arrived. That, and the lack of action at the moment, had completely pissed him off.
Unbeknownst to him, the crowd had parted. By the time he had noticed, though, the culprit of the parting was already upon him.
It was a girl, short satiny dress, curly long hair tied neatly in a dark pony tail, make up completely perfect.
“What are you doing, here, all by yourself?” She asked, seductive voice oh so familiar to him.
“Just… Watching the crowd.” He said back. Where did he remember her? Why was she talking to him?
The song changed to the popular song that had started off the night, and she invited him to dance. And that was when he remembered her.
She was the most popular girls in his grade, and probably in the whole school. She wasn’t exactly the smartest girl, but she was definitely the most popular. And she was gaining popularity every day- She was the seductress of the school, and usually had a new boyfriend every month. It seemed, since him and his ex had broken it off, she had been eyeing him to be her new accessory. He wondered when she’d dumped the last.
As they danced, him swaying, her doing the same but brimming with confidence in her stride, stepping in and out, side to side occasionally in such away that put his moves to shame.
And then it happened. There was a smash heard to his left. A broken bottle and an exchange of blows and obscenities could be heard as two seniors flew into a viscous rage. He noticed then that alcohol had been passed around. He wondered how long he’d been on the dance floor, how long the drinks had been in circulation.
There was a panic. Not surrounding the fight, but with everyone. It seems this time, the drink that had been passed around was not merely beer as last year was, but something stronger.
The smell of alcohol mixed with the smell of sweets and sweat, the room which had darkened dizzyingly as the sun had set, his natural curiosity wanting to know what was going on.
He realized that he had come to a stop, and the girl by his side had disappeared. He took this opportunity to try to survey what was actually happening. It was of no use, though- instead of just dimming the lights as they did last year, they had the lights completely shut off, the only way to see was the bright patches streaming out of newly-installed disco light machines.
He felt an arm slip around his waist. She was back again holding two plastic cups, one of which she silently offered to him. He could just make out a cat-like grin forming on her face as he took it.
He quickly decided he wouldn’t drink the liquid. He didn’t even know what it was. But he watched as she downed hers quickly, unlatched herself from him, and disappeared once more to get more. He wondered when the alcohol was going to hit her.
And then he saw her. The girl she’d been wanting to forget. She was so close. She was also presumably with her new boyfriend, who she was making out with. Or maybe she was cheating on him like she was with him.
Once again, he felt little arms clasp his mid section, knowing she had returned with another two drinks. He glared the couple once more, downed the drink- not even caring any more- and sent a stray someone in-between him and the couple flying into them, hoping it’d ruin her night somehow.
She offered him a second drink and he accepted happily, downing it without a care in the world.
