Last night was as romantic as it would get. We gazed into each other’s eyes, yet none of us made the move. Seconds later he pulled back, and the moment was over. He drove me back home, and now I’m sitting here rethinking my life choices.
The next day I went to school early to get my homework done. I had just settled down when Kamala and Lizzie came up to me. “Girl, tomorrow is Valentine’s Day did Gram get you anything yet?” Kamala said to me. “No, not yet. But we did go in a date last night,” I chimed in. “Nice! Romantic too, but if that d!ck forgot about Valentines Day I would be the end of him, “ Lizzie said confidently. “Well,” I said. “Has anyone asked you?”
Just then Gram strolled in Lizzie winked at me then they both got up and left. As Gram handed me some Starbucks, I could help but feel like he forgot a Valentine’s Day. All I even wanted from him was a card. Cards meant so much more to me than flowers of chocolate.
