A horn blew and everyone got out of their bunks, the sun reflecting off the yellow, red, and green armor.

“Get to your stations! The outpost is under attack! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!” Yelled the commander, his blue armor showing his rank.
As the men got out, one guy ran to the weapon rack and grabbed his rifle and pistol.

“MOVE! MOVE!” Yelled the Commander as he ran out.
As the door flew open, everyone could see people and aliens dying.

As the men ran out, a rookie dove for the trenches, but got sniped by a laser rifle.
There was chaos, but they were pinned down.
“Captain! Take a group of Men to go get help!” The Commander commanded the Captain to do.

”SIR YES SIR!” He yelled as he chose a ranger called Closepoint, a rifle man called Hank, and me, a rookie.

“Come on!” The Captain said.

As we followed, I wondered why he chose ME, of all people. We snuck out undetected, and made our way for the nearest base.

As we walked, we talked.
“So, captain, how long have you been in the military?” Asked Closepoint.
“I joined at the age of ten after my whole family was slaughtered. I’m 23, got my first kill at the age of 12, felt good to finally get some damn revenge.” Responded the Captain.
“Damn!” I exclaimed.
“When did YOU join the military, Hank?” Asked the Captain.
“I joined six years ago.” He responded. “Got my first bit of action during the three year war against the Menomorphs.” He responded.
”And you, rook?” The rifleman asked.
”I joined the academy at the age of 19, spent four years in the academy, chose medics route. This is my first bit of action.” I answered.
As we continued walking, we got to the base and it was in pure chaos.
“Let’s help them!” The Captain said as he ran towards the base and we followed.
I got my Assault Rifle off my back and started shooting when Hank stopped me.
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! They’ve made it INSIDE the base. FIST FIGHT!” He yelled as he punched one alien in the back.
“Huh.” I said as I charged in.
I threw an uppercut at one aliens chin, ducked under one’s swinging punch aimed for his head, and tackled him.
“Not today, ya lil bitch!” I slammed his head into the ground and threw his body aside.
The other Alien came at me with a shot gun, so I rolled to cover and crouched behind a crate.
“Damn it!” I said, when I got an idea.
I reached for a dead troopers throwing knife laying on the ground.
As the alien got closer, I suddenly rolled out of cover and throw the knife at his throat, and it hit target.
The alien panicked and tried to rip it out, when I took out my pistol and shot him in the head, killing him.
After the battle, our Captain told us to patrol the place, make sure there’s NO alive aliens as he talks with their commanding officer.
But, he wants some to stay by and watch for any incoming aliens as they talked.
“Thanks for the help.” Said their superior officer.
“Any time. But, we’ve got an outpost that needs help.” Said the Captain.
“We’ve got, like, only 45 men, though.” The officer said.
“If OUR outpost falls, then your BASE falls too.” Said our Captain.
“If you can take out the enemy base, we can assist you. That was OUR original purpose, but we don’t have enough men to do so.” Said their officer.
“FINE.” Our Captain said.
“Guys! Come on!” He said as we followed.
As we walked across the grass field, Hank was asking so many questions, I just wanted to punt him to the moon.
”Why, exactly are we going on this damn suicide mission?” He asked, his tone annoyed.
“To get them to help us.” The Captain answered.
”I honestly hate those lil bitches. We should just let them die or lie.” Closepoint said.
“Hmm. Maybe.” The Captain said.
