Welcome, adventurers, to the kingdom of Alaida! Come, journey into our caverns, and learn our culture. Welcome, one and all. All are welcome... but watch your step, else you fall into the abyss below.
As we make our way through this land, I will attempt to identify everything, and help you come to a larger understanding of Alaida as a whole.
The first stop along our journey is the City of Reithfiel. This beautiful city exists as a beacon of diversity in our kingdom, where all six clans can gather beneath the rules of the Illum Order.
As we exit the cavern of Reithfiel, we make our way into the Sanctum. Here, our most brilliant minds lie deep in meditation, uncovering the secrets of the universe, while also reinforcing our kingdom's connection with the six gods.
Moving on from the Sanctum we meander our way into the Cavern of Light. Here, brilliant, bioluminescent flowers and animals glitter alongside gorgeous gems glinting in a wonderful light. Here, our people gather when at our most desperate.223Please respect copyright.PENANAgAni39QWid
Moving from the Cavern of Light, we enter the City of Seas, Posein. Here, the Capybara Clan members live. These excellent swimmers serve as our diplomats, pursuing our interests in foreign climes. Their swimming is truly advantageous here, as they live next to a giant underground lake.
Moving from Posein, we journey into the Great Cavern. Watch out! Other than the small bridges across it, we don't know where this cavern ends, although many theorize it falls straight down to Neiql.
After carefully balancing our way across the Great Cavern, we make it into the Inner Sea. This underground freshwater ocean provides much of the necessary water for our kingdom to survive.
Now, leaving the Inner Sea, we make our way to the City of Trees, an underground forest known as Fainou. Here in Fainou, the Porcupine Clan members live. These climbers also serve as our defenders, keeping us safe from outsiders.
Leavin Fainou, we journey to the City of Lights, Pontor. Here in Pontor, the matriarchal Angler Clan members live. These deadly hunters use their bioluminescent skin to attract prey. Despite the women being the hunters, the men eat first, as they need the energy to care for and protect the children.
Leaving Pontor, we make our way to the City of Silk, Arisne. Here in Arisne, the secretive members of the Spider Clan weave their intricate patterns into our clothes, our tapestries, and our bedding. These seamstresses are everywhere, and, just between us, many suspect that they're secretly planning something. In their culture, if a male gives you a present, then he's telling you that he'll love you unto his dying breath.
Exiting the gorgeous city of Arisne, we make our way to the City of Knowledge, Tholin. Here, the Dolphin Clan lives and thrives, uncovering all secrets and storing them away in the many libraries within this city. Despite this storage, this information is actually freely given by those who know it, and those who don't know it know someone who does.
Leaving the intellectual city of Tholin, we enter the City of Mysteries, Hushon. Hushon is a lonely city. You'll find almost no one here, unless you look very closely. Look hard enough, and you might catch sight of a member of the Fox Clan. These elusive members of the sixth clan hide and plot in the shadows, advancing their - and the Illum Order's - plans with every calculated move they make. These secretive speed demons are always on the move, planning something that will alter the course of our history.
Leaving the foggy city of Hushon, we enter the final cavern on our way, the Cavern of Castles. Here we finally find the center of our kingdom, the home of the Illum Order.223Please respect copyright.PENANAVBsIAR5msG

Who are the Illum Order, you ask? Fifteen council members all with their own plans, controlling our kingdom from behind the shadows. To most outsiders, we have a king named Arlin, but he's simply a pawn. The Illum Order are the queen.223Please respect copyright.PENANAZcJJGQrMGE
Now, within the cavernous depths of our world, not everyone remained human. As you already know, the inhabitants of Pontor have mutated to have bioluminescent skin. They also have fish scales along their body, and gills for breathing underwater. We have named the members of this clan Angli, Anglus singular.
The members of the Cabybara Clan have developed a more marine body, with slimmer bodies, scalier bodies, and gills alongside lungs, as well as a form of powerful echolocation, although all of them are also blind. They have many other skills and attributes, but those are the main ones. We call them Mer, both plural and singular.
The members of the Porcupine Clan have developed claws, fur, and a more cat-like appearance. This helps them to climb, and gives them much more agility. We call these beings Lynx, Lyn singular.
The members of the Spider Clan are still human, never having mutated due to their circumstances.
The members of the Dolphin Clan have developed thinner bodies, as well as growing scales, and overall have a more anguine body. We have named these beings Nagi, Nago singular.
The members of the Fox Clan are most mysterious, but thanks to some digging, we've discovered their secret. They all have much more canine forms, including snouts, fur, claws, and a strange tendency to howl during a full moon. We have named these being Lunins, Lunin singular.
Now, thanks to our interesting climate, our beautiful cave system, we have an interesting economy. We trade mostly in gems, but we also sell information, weapons, and anything, really, that we can get our hands on. And, between us, some of us also sell certain hallucinogens that can only be developed inside our caves.
Most of us get an education specific to our clan. We learn whatever skills our clan needs us to learn. Of course, sometimes, we don't want to be a part of our clan, and as a result, some of us are known as the Clanless, like me!
Our small minority wanders from city to city, learning from each clan. We're welcome everywhere, and often we're the diplomats when two clans disagree. Lately, though, everything's been changing. Between the Spider Clan's suspicious activities, the Fox Clan's recent activity, and the Illum Order's constant meetings, it seems like something might be brewing in this place.
Now, you might be asking, "Well, what language do you speak?" Well, for us, it's a bit complicated. Our language is a mix of Ancient Dwarven, Modern English, and a bit of Elvish, resulting in a very complicated language. Our alphabet is made up of seventeen letters, as eight English letters have no counterpart in our language. These letters are H, J, P, Q, U, V, W, and X. We also have no written language, as anything we write down we translate to English.223Please respect copyright.PENANAnoL1pqRhzT
To make it even more complicated, different clans have different dialects.
Now, before I go, I must add one more thing. We have six gods, the greatest and most ancient of beings.
The first of our gods is Alar. He is the god of the Ocean, Diplomacy, and Manipulation. He is the patron god of the Capybara Clan.
The second god is Alar's husband Imoe. Imoe is the god of Forests, War, and the Wild. He is the patron god of the Porcupine Clan.223Please respect copyright.PENANAGLQ5r1mwRJ
The third god is Alar's son Ditrick. Ditrick is the god of Darkness, Seduction, and the Sun. He is the patron god of the Angler Clan.
The fourth god is Ditrick's creation, Alini. Alini is the goddess of Spiders, Weaving, and the Underground. She is the patron goddess of the Spider Clan.223Please respect copyright.PENANAtkkalUAsoA
The fifth god is Imoe's sister, Orin. Orin is the goddess of Knowledge, Power, and the Past. She is the patron goddess of the Dolphin Clan
The sixth god is known as the Dark God or the Lost God, and is the only one no longer holding a patronage. She is named Moris, and is the goddess of Death, Deceit, and the Apocalypse.
Every day, we must pray seven times. Once to each of the gods, and once to the spirits of nature, to ensure that we may prosper.
We have three forms of currency: Sikzs, Kxols, and Nyisis. Seventeen Sikzs make one Kxol, and ninety-eight Kxols make one Nyisi.
Also, it is a tradition, within our society, to give someone a Nyisi without getting anything in return to be granted a favor of any kind from them, so never overpay, or people will owe you all kinds of favors. Or do, if that's what you want.
So that's the tour of Alaida! Remember, everything here that isn't sentient does want to kill you! All of the wildlife here will try to eat you at first chance. Now, we should be returning to the entrance. And remember, speak of anything that happens within these caverns, and you will be killed.
Have a good day!
