Slowly she pulled the dress down, adjusting it as she gazed at herself in the mirror. She then placed her hand under the running water, enjoying the cool liquid run inbetween her fingers.
Naomi heard feminine footsteps nearing the restroom and she scurried to finish so that she could leave. The door opened with a light creak and Naomi raised her head to look at who had entered regretting her actions instantly.
The woman walked up to Naomi and stood beside her bringing her attention on the mirror. Their eyes connected in the mirrors. Her black ebony eyes seem to drill themselves into Naomi's. Naomi forced a smile on her face but her lips quivered.
She turned to leave refusing to embarass herself more than she already did "Ms Johnson?" The woman's tone was soft and smooth and Naomi found another reason to envy her. She had the voice of an angel.
Naomi's brows furrowed "Why do you call me that?"
The woman seemed confused as she looked at Naomi in the mirror "Uhm Anthony had referred to you as Ms Johnson so I just assumed..."104Please respect copyright.PENANAPXKjTs7jDt

Naomi froze realising that what the woman spoke was true. Anthony had referred to her as Ms Johnson. How did he know her surname? She didn't remember telling him about it, so how did he know? She sighed refusing to let her thoughts get the best of her. She placed a smile on her face "It's ok. You don't have to call me Ms Johnson. Just call me Naomi"
The woman nodded, turning around in order to be face to face with Naomi "Does he treat you well?" She inquired
Naomi, shocked at her question gazed at her "Who?"
"Anthony." She clarified "Does Anthony treat you well?"
Naomi was taken aback by the question and her brain didn't have enough time to process it she just said the first thing that came mind "Uhmm y-yes. He treats me well"
The woman nodded again "Have you done the deed with him?"
Naomi's brows furrowed "The deed? How do you...?" Her mouth widened as realisation set in, she felt her cheeks warm up "No. What. No. Never. What?! Why would I...? No. No I would never do that with him"
The woman gazed at Naomi with hooded eyes, her emotions hidden behind the thin orange fabric "Why wouldn't you? Aren't you two together"
Naomi shook her head rapidly "No. We aren't together. We..." Naomi froze realising what she had just said.
The woman's brow rose, amused as colour drained from Naomi's cheeks "Anthony said you were his girlfriend and you were beside him while he said it. I refuse to believe that you are deaf"
"Uhmm" Naomi gulped as she shifted her weight from one foot to the other "We. I.." Naomi huffed "Please don't tell anyone about this, but ..." she sighed "Anthony told me to lie about being his girlfriend" she felt her cheeks burn up as shame overcame her, she wanted the ground to just swallow her up, take her anywhere but here. The woman peered at Naomi before nodding, Naomi wondered whether there was a smile hidden behind that fabric.
An awkward silence grew in the air. Naomi was confused as whether their conversation was over. Would it be rude if she just walked out. "I want to help you escape" the woman said casually
"Escape from what?"
"Not from what. But from who"
Naomi blinked "How do you mean?"
"I want to help you escape from Anthony"
Naomi's jaw dropped "How do you mean?"
"I know his keeping you here by force. I want to help you escape."
"I don't understand." Naomi looked at the woman standing before her, she hardly knew this woman, her true identity was hidden behind a piece of fabric. Those eyes. They were haunting. Naomi just realised that nobody had entered into the restroom for the past moments. It was odd. It was only her and this woman. This mysterious woman that she hardly knew, the woman could be a psycho for heaven's sake. There were so many possibilities. Naomi gulped and took a step backward "Please I need to leave" she passed by the woman speeding for the exit however stopping in her tracks when the woman spoke again.
"I know you don't want to be here."
Naomi turned around, her mind going foggy. She paused and analysed the woman and the woman stared back steadfast, her gaze not wavering for a second. Naomi sighed "He told me he'll take me back home"
The lady chuckled shaking her head, her eyes on Naomi.
"He's not keeping me here by force. Its my own will" Naomi defended
"If I ask you where you would rather be. Here or back home. Which would you choose?"
Naomi paused, she gazed at the woman unable to answer her question "He said he'll take me home" she repeated "he promised"
The woman held Naomi's gaze. "He told me the same thing. Promise after promise. And yes, he did keep to his promise. He brought me back home. But he brought me back only after he had broken me. I was broken, in pieces, beyond repair. I want to save you. You still seem to be in working condition. I want to help you escape before it's too late"
Naomi's mouth felt frozen as if someone had glued her lips together. They refused to move. The words refused to come. She didn't understand anything the woman had said. "What are you talking about?" It came out like a whisper, she felt as if she were someone else and she was just looking in from the sidelines. Her voice sounded foreign, rough, afraid. "I don't understand what you're saying to me"
The woman turned to look in the mirror. Naomi watched silently, dumbfounded as the woman removed her hijab as well as her face veil. Revealing her face. Naomi's eyes squinted. The woman looked familiar. She didn't know where she had seen that face from. She skimmed her brain but found nothing. Their eyes met in the mirror and Naomi witnessed the woman's lips curve up into a smile. Naomi stopped her jaw from falling to the ground. "Why are you looking at me like that. You've never seen a beautiful woman remove her veil"
No! Naomi wanted to scream. But she ignored the question and instead granted her own "Have i seen you somewhere before?"
"I don't know" she shrugged, reaching into her purse and taking out a container of red lipstick. "Have you?" She laughed
Naomi closed her eyes and opened them again. This didn't feel real, it felt like a dream. A confusing, horrible dream. She looked at the door and back at the woman in the orange sari. Naomi was aware that she could just walk out, the door was right there. But she craved for answers and if she left now she doubted that she would find them. Her eyes felt heavy, it was a struggle to keep them open.
All it took was for her to open her mouth and ask the questions that she wanted answers to but her body seemed to shut down, they weren't cooperating with her. Her head began to ache as stars danced in her vision. She leaned into the counter, helping herself maintain her balance. Her lips felt sealed together. She just stood there, scrutinizing the woman in the orange sari as she put back on her hijab and face veil.
Again, their eyes connected in the mirror. "I will give you the rest of this evening to think about it. Tonight at middle night, you will hear three car horns and when you do. You should look out the window and you will see a man. He will help you out of the house and direct you towards a car. I will be in that car and I will escort you back to your hometown. However, if you decide to remain in captivity you can ignore the three car horns. But I will not be blamed for anything that will happen after that"
"Look." Naomi felt out of breath as she inhaled an intake of air "I don't know what you're talking about. I am not in captivity. Anthony had assured me that he'll take me home"
"And why hasn't he taken you home already?"
Naomi's mouth opened and shut like fish out of water "He-He said that it was a 3 day distance from here to my hometown which was too far and that he was going to arrange a way. I'm not in captivity. I assure you that"
The woman snickered, a mocking little sound. "You're so naive. Helslip is a two hour drive from Rockyville." She smiled, and cocked her head "Naomi, let me tell you something, something that I had learnt the hard way. There are only a handful of good men in this world. The rest are animal's, they're selfish bastards. They can say anything to you just to get what they want. They don't care who they hurt as long as they are satisfied."
Naomi scrutinized the woman, her words went into one ear and left the other. The only word that ringed in Naomi's ears was Helslip "How do you know that Helslip is my hometown. I never told you about it"
The woman chuckled, an angelic sound that bounced off the walls "Is that all you got from my whole speech?"
Naomi closed her eyes as a sharp seering pain moved from the sole of her feet up her body. She raised her hand to her temple "How. Do. You. Know?" She insisted
"I know alot about you Naomi. I have done my research and trust me, I bet Anthony has done same, he probably knows more about you than you know about yourself."
A shiver ran down Naomi's spine as she gulped. Her mouth felt dry. "Stop it. Stop brainwashing me against Anthony. He's been nothing but good to me"
"Ok." She shrugged her shoulders "I'll stop brainwashing you but let's put Anthony to the test. I dare you to ask him when he'll take you back home and see his reaction." The woman picked up her purse and turned to leave just as she held the door to exit. Naomi stopped her.
"Wait." Naomi called "You didn't tell me your name"
The womans brow rose "My name?"
"Yes. Your name. Since you claim to know so much about me. The least you can tell me about yourself is your name"
The woman stopped as if contemplating Naomi's demand. "Ok. You're right" she shrugged, Naomi swore there was a mischievous smile behind her veil "My name is Anganaa"
Naomi's vision blurred and darkness overtook her.
