Chapter XXIV: Th Fifth Symphony
Throughout his childhood, no girl have made this impression on Kota or neither did this to him. Back to the present, Akiko then smiles. In a flirtatious voice, Akiko asks,
"Hey, how you doing?"
Kota then turns red and Akiko smiles and asks,
"Wanna do it?"
Hearing this, Kota's head bursts into steam and Akiko laughs. She then says,
"Just kidding!"
After a while, Kota then asks her regarding betrayals,
"Have you ever experienced getting betrayed by one of your best friends?"
"Well, not really. Though there was one friend who doesn't keep promises.", says Akiko sarcastically.
Kota sighs and responds,
"I know I have been a terrible person back then but look on the bright side, most of them were justifiably kept"
"You do have a point though", says Akiko back to him.
She then complements his room saying,
"I must say, you have a very nice room"
"Well you know me, a simple and aesthetic designer", says Kota.
Akiko then smiles and says,
"That's what I love about you, so organized, and smart"
"Oh, sheesh, stop it.", says Kota back to her.
As he turns red,
"That's also what I love about you, so unpredictable, humorous and cute", says Kota.
She smiles with that response.
She gets on the bed and gets closer to him. Kota's eyes widens.
"Let see your temperature", says Akiko and puts her hand on Kota's forehead.
"Yep, you're hot, really-really hot-", she says in a seductive way.
"Yow, that's sus", says Kota and Akiko smiles at him.
Akiko then walks in circles like a patrol guard in his room and say,
"Btw, you're done with your question, right? So, I'm going to ask you one. How does it feels about-the kiss ?"
Kota's ears rise up and puts a question mark on his face and exclaims,
"Wait, What?!"
"I was just kidding, laughter's the best medicine", says Akiko and laughs at his face.
"Aw, you got me with that lol", says Kota back to her.
"Seriously though, what was your question?".
Akiko then asks,
"How does it feel if someone stalks you?".
Kota's eyes widens a bit and Akiko creepily smiles at him and says,
"Creepy, right?".
Although he did this back then to know more about her before the incident. Tampering on those Déjà vu events, he sweats guilty and asks,
"What do you mean?"
"Oh, you know what I mean", says Akiko and adds,
"I have been receiving deceitful and frightful information on my phone recently regarding about my location and somehow, YourBook search history".
From this Kota gulps and sweats. At this rate, Akiko's eyes glows red and puts an even more creepy smile.
"Do you know who was that?", she asks. "
"Ok, wait, let me interject that with a bloody interesting question then. How do you feel if you keep giving someone a present and they don't give back anything in return?", Kota interjects.
"Bish, I would be a damn lunatic if I keep doing that!", answers Akiko.
"Back to your question, I had done that but I already erased some of the bad memories including the search history and location but those were just recent times", says Kota.
"Why would you even try to look up on my location and my YourBook?", asks Akiko angrily.
Kota exclaims,
"Because I want to know more about you again and to protect you!", and coughs.
Akiko is stunned by his response.
"Unlike our Junior High School years, we were very young and actually childish and naïve. No one knows about the importance about this and that. I didn't know how to act back then since this was very new to me and now's another chance to do it right, I might do it step by step again to have a good communication, friendship, and relationship with you", he adds.
Akiko covers her mouth with her hands and cries.
"You know, I'm very sorry for not giving you anything but look on the bright side, I had given you something. That something would be our memories, our good memories together", she says.
"You do have a point though. Sorry, if I haven't given you any material things but please don't do the weird 'stalking' thing again", she adds.
Both of them gets close to one another, making them turn red and their lips approaches one another. A knock on the door interrupts them and Akiko goes to open it. It is Kota's mother and she asks,
"Did anything happened here?".
Turning red, Akiko responds,
"Of course not Mrs. Mizushiro!"
"Ok then. I'm down stairs if you need anything", says Kota's mother and closes the door.
Akiko's phone then rings and her grandma calls her that she needs to go home. She delivers a flying kiss to Kota, says goodbye and she goes off. Kota's mother then goes to Kota and asks him if his fever is gone. From Akiko's visit, the fever is gone.
"Well, maybe the fight was actually a cure", Kota's mother iterates. "Wait, you knew about that?", he asks.
"I heard it down stairs. But you know, there is no perfect relationship. There are always misunderstandings despite the good times. Having a one or two misunderstandings are just fine, but don't make it very complicated", she adds.
"Hope she didn't got your fever though", she also says which makes Kota surprise and raises his ears.
At the other end, Akiko's grandma retrieves a damped towel and puts it on Akiko's forehead.
