I opened my eyes feeling a slight pain in my eyelids as I attempted to lift them up. It was blurry, But I could still recognize my old garden, which my father built from all his Sunday afternoons hard work. I stood up with a big smile and looked around.
"Yeah, it was all a dream. Vyani, you have quite the imagination, girl. But it felt so real, dude. I was genuinely scared. Of course, it had to be a dream. How else could I be speaking to a god-like being?"
I chuckled and dusted off my dirty clothes from possibly sleeping in my old dusty garden, with a large mango tree that rarely bears fruit. After a few moments of cleaning my clothes, I felt a slight pain in my knees. Looking down, I noticed a small scratch with a bit of bleeding. I began to rub it, pondering how I had gotten it
"It must hurt a lot"
I turned my head and screamed
"aaaaaaaaaaaaaa......."
"What....what what happened....??
Why are you here , you were in my dream ?
As I picked up the broom from the ground where my mom always keeps it to clean the garden.
"Stay away from me I am telling you I am very dangerous ."
"Ohh... wow, I am very afraid, actually terrified, of just a mere human.
"I was dreaming, so why are you here, green boy?
"Green boy" I don't like that name... you can call me Tis. It's not a very cool name but I am very fond of it actually. And no, not at all, you were not dreaming. It was all real, 'Vyakhya Kushwaha'.
"How ...how do you know my name? "
Great question, but I actually know everything about you, so of course I would know your name.
What... why? I mean I'm meeting you only today, or maybe I'm still dreaming... am I? As I pinched myself, ouch... maybe not. Is it all real... how... how?
Calm down, girl... First, let's introduce ourselves. If this is not all a dream, you may have to be obedient like a student under me until we find that Hucia thief.
"But I am not sure If I am really able to do anything"
"Can you introduce yourself... someone must have at least taught you that"
"Of course, (keeping the broom down) I am Vyakhya Kushwaha or you can call me Vyani , I am 15 year old student at....wait you said you already know about me so"
"Are you a nutcase? Didn't you heard earlier they told you that you are under me so you have to obey me and stop asking unimportant
questions"
"Okay....okay so I am Vyani, a 10th grader at Varanasi National Public School. I enjoy reading, painting, and listening to good music. In my family, there are five members - my parents, my older sister, and my younger brother. My father is a..."
(Cutting her in between)"You are a deeply unhappy individual who enjoys pretending to be kind but is actually quite cruel to yourself. You aspire to achieve greatness in life without putting in the necessary effort. Three months ago, you were harshly rejected by a guy you had been stalking for two years, and you believe..."
Wait, wait, wait... Oh my god... How do you do know these things... Gosh... I am so embarrassed... Don't say it in front of me... Oh my gosh.
(Turning around)... Okay, now I'm not in front of you, so where was I... You think that everybody.....
Are you kidding me? (aggresively) ....Hey, don't tell me that everyone from that place knows about these things.
"Well, I was given this information by Ron so maybe he knows it all."
"Wow......ugh....now I hate this even more"
"You don't have to hate anything....when you can simply love everything"
I looked at him, at his green eyes that were the greenest part of his green body.
"What do you mean.... I already hate myself enough and now I am a character for you guys whom you may laugh at every day...PERFECT!!!
"Give me your left hand"
"What?"
Suddenly, my left hand began to move as if it had heard what he said and was obeying him.
"Is this Harry Potter... are you a magician?"
As my left hand's palm faced his beautiful green face, he closed his eyes and directed his left hand to mirror mine. Then he muttered something.
"Urana espiao auketi orene ikleu."
"What... what was that? Can you really do magic, dude? Are you..."
Suddenly, that green light surrounded us again as if the sun had risen, but its light was green. I looked around in confusion, and suddenly my hands became shining in the same green light as if they were transmitting the light through my nerves. I could see it clearly. I was astonished and said:
"Hey, hey What was your name 'this'.....listen dude what is this....hey open your eyes....."
Suddenly, everything stopped. The green light turned dark in front of both my eyes, merging into the darkness of the night.
"Shut up....How much do you talk? .....Go and bring a vessel for your white hucia"
"What Hucia I can't see anything?"
"How will you see it dumbo , Bring the vessel first"
Vessel....vessel.?...wait a minute
I hurried from the living room to the kitchen, estimating the size to be huge. I grabbed the largest bowl I could find and returned to him.
"Take it," I said, scowling.
(laughing hard) You really are the biggest fool I have ever met. I told you to bring a vessel, something you can keep your Hucia in. Are you sure you can wear this thing on your hand or neck?
Hey mister, you didn't tell me what a vessel is, so how am I supposed to know what to bring? I am not a fool, you are. How will I know if I have to bring a bracelet or a necklace when you never told me that.
"Okay, okay, now bring one fast"
I returned inside, tossed the bowl into the sink with a loud thud, and then realized I couldn't find anything suitable in my drawer. Suddenly, I had an idea. I headed to the temple room, removed my slippers, entered, bowed to the gods, opened the drawer of worship materials, grabbed a kalawa thread (red thread used by Hindus for worship), and quickly went out to him.
"Yes, this is acceptable. Please do not remove this thread until I instruct you to"
"Oh, how smart of me to select a red thread, now no one will suspect that I am on a terrorist mission"
He gave me a strange glance.
"You truly are insane"
The thread, once unassuming, now floated through the air, brushing against a mysterious white sphere that had materialized out of thin air. My certainty wavered; this sphere, an anomaly, hadn’t existed moments ago.
"Could it be Hucia the root of all troubles?"
“Keep quiet,” he commanded, his eyes sharp as he scrutinized me.
“Show me your wrist.”
I extended my arm, and the thread responded, shimmering like a rare diamond. The sphere vanished abruptly, replaced by the thread that crept toward me. My hesitation swirled with curiosity, and I instinctively tilted my head away.
“Hey, little human,” he chided, his hand mirroring the thread’s movements. “
Straighten your forehead.”
It touched my forehead and started grazing my skin before settling on my wrist.
“Tie it,” he instructed, his voice low and cryptic. “Securely. It won’t come undone—especially not after tonight.”
“But how can I bind it myself?” I protested. “You could tie it like a rakhi.”
His gaze remained unyielding.
“I can’t touch you,” he confessed, “and you can’t touch me either.”
“What?!”
The word escaped my lips, a bewildered echo in this strange dance of threads and spheres.
