The Spectres were getting ready for dinner in Tarkintown, Lothal, Ezra was trying to set up the tree with the power of the Force, and Zeb was lifting the paint happy Mandalorian Sabine, who was coloring the tree.
"You're missing some on the right," Hera shouted, "no, little higher-"
"That it?" Sabine called out, staring at her work intently.
"Yeah, you got it." Hera confirmed.
"So," Ezra called out to the kitchen, where Kanan was cooking, "I never asked, but how you and your master did spend Christmas together?"
The team fell quiet until Zeb coughed, "Better you don't ask somethings, kid."
Later that night Ezra stared up at the stars over Lothal, Kanan silently joined him.
"You know, if you stay up until midnight, he's not going to show up." Kanan warned.
"Ha, I thought Santa was supposed to through something in your eye to put you to sleep?" Ezra turned around, and saw a small box in Kanan's hand.
Kanan offered the box to the padawan, smiling, "Merry Christmas, Ezra."
"I thought you didn't want to talk about it?" Ezra thought Kanan might have a problem getting into the Christmas spirit, when the knight jokingly referred to himself as the Grinch or Scrooge, now he was just confused.
"I didn't want to have to tell them again about how I didn't have time for celebration back then, how we celebrated that one Christmas together...and never again." Kanan laid back on the Ghost and let out a deep breath, "You had to find out from someone, might as well be me."
"I'm sorry, Kanan, I didn't know."
"I couldn't have expected you to-" The two looked around when the sound of bells reached their ears, "Uh-oh, we better get to bed, before the old man realizes we're up late."
"It's already too late." an oddly familiar voice announced behind them. They caught a glimpse of was a man in a red and white suit, he had light brown eyes and brows and a white beard before they were knocked out.
In the morning they woke up on the floor, under the tree, with boxes pinning them down. Zeb and Chopper laughed at the groggy Jedi, while Hera and Sabine freed the half asleep pair from the packages pinning them down.
"Looks like Santa thought it was funny to leave you two under the tree and presents." Zeb chuckled.
"It's odd, I feel like we know the guy." Ezra groaned.
"Yeah, he definitely seems familiar." Kanan agreed.
"Well," Hera said wisely, "he is Santa Claus."
A Stormtrooper pranced up to Agent Kallus, "Merry Christmas, Sir!"
"Hmm, what's this?" Kallus inquired, taking a small box from the soldier.
"It's a present for you, it was under the tree, everyone has one." the Stormtrooper eyed the box eagerly through his visor, "What do you think is inside?!"
Kallus smiled. It was hard to guess, when you already knew the answer, "Why don't we see the rest of the crew? We can find out...together."
"Sir, why's you're blaster set to stun?"
"Oh...I had a little company last night, they were...up late."
"Oh...okay, then."
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all...good morning."
