Theres a broken plate sitting in pieces

In the grass of my back yard

Theres a broken cabinet door

Barely hanging on in the kitchen

Theres a cuts on my knuckles

Swollen to high heaven on my hand

Theres a broken lid to a jar

Sitting on the counter top

Theres a broken heart in a girl

Sitting in her room about an hour away

Ive always been told i was strong

Maybe just a tad too strong

Whatever i touch seems to break

Ive always been told i was strong

Maybe my strength to handle my trauma

Has stripped away any gentleness

Ive always been told i was strong

But nothing feels more useless

Then my anger flaring and something breaking

Ive always been told i was strong

But nothing feels more fragile than me

Breaking something on accident or on purpose
