Hello, everybody! My name is Viktoria Fyodorova, and I'm so happy to know that there is a website like Penana where I can share some of my favorite writing pieces! Ever since 4th grade, I've loved to write. Writing is the "Hakuna Matata" of my life. I forget all my worries when I write because I get so lost in my worlds and worlds from movies, books, and TV shows I love.

My favorite genre to write is Fantasy, but I also like Fanfiction and the occasional Science Fiction.

After fourteen years and eight drafts, I was officially published through South Carolina on October 8th, 2024. Currently, I'm writing a Coming-of-Age Fantasy, Claxton, about two fairies who embark on an epic quest to stop the heinous Octopus Man! It's been my passion project for 10+ years.

I tragically lost my older brother in 2021, which left me with PTSD, but it also inspired my Scarlet and Violet fanfic, Infrared. For the longest time after he died, I thought I would never return to writing, but I did as a coping method for dealing with grief.

I'm a 2022 Ambys Awards winner with my short story, Messummer, and a 2023 Ambys Award/Nano Watt Grand Winner with Infrared! I'm also a judge and reviewer because I love to help authors improve their craft. I never judge somebody based on their writing style because we all have our own.

My favorite fandoms are Pokémon, Star Wars, HTTYD, and Harry Potter.

I hope you enjoy the stories and fanfics I post on Penana. If you can, please give me tips on how to improve my writing.

A struggling writer finds comfort in a goldfish after a flight cancellation to New York City, but when an unexpected accident occurs, the fish and man must remain calm until help arrives.

                                                                                                        ***

Twenty-four-year-old Bailey hates and loves writing and dreams of becoming an editor and author. During a trip to New York City for an interview with the New York Times, a snowstorm cancels his flight, and he's forced to stay in a Marriot overnight, where he meets Oscar the Goldfish.

Oscar has met many people over the past few months, but none have intrigued him as much as Bailey. He acts as a therapy fish and listens to Bailey's writing and life concerns.

The two begin to bond, but when an unexpected accident occurs during Hour Seven, they must put their differences aside and help one another through the tense situation.

Will Oscar and Bailey's newfound friendship overcome the accident, or will they succumb to their pasts and grow apart as most fish and man do? Hour Eight will determine everything.

*Moral: The past is the past; this is the future.*
*A novelette inspired by a story I heard at work about Oscar the Goldfish.*
*Weekly updates*
*This story is not meant to bash Romance writers (I like Romance but don't write it). It's meant to teach struggling, non-Romance ones that they don't need to write Romance to be good writers.*
