Saint Lu's Children's Hospital - 12 AM
William sat down, looking at the colors in front of him. They were labeled at the top, but he had to match the color to the color (s) name. The doctor sat across from him, waiting patiently. His mom sat beside him nervous. Willaim grabbed a color he had no clue it was dark so he thought it could be red or green. He placed the color above the word red. He looked up at the doctor and his mom. His mom sighed. "Blue was the color," she said as she picked it up mixing them around. The doctor looked at William, "William, you're almost there just a little more practice." He said smiling.

The Drive Home - 2 AM
"Mom..." William said looking at his mom through the dash mirror. "Yes, Sweetie." William chewed on the inside of his cheek, "Mom, I..." William said. "I-I'm hungry." Yes, It's exactly what you're thinking William has speech problems. "Okay, we'll be home in a few minutes." William nodded. He was going to ask her If that meant I'd never be able to see color. But he could never bring himself to do it. He'd embarrassed himself in class and his best friend left him because he thought he was a loser. As they pulled into the neighborhood. A big moving truck that had always been empty was parked in the house. "Look, we have new neighbors." His mom said pulling into the yard. He looked at the little boy outside, who was holding a teddy bear and waving. William looked at him and walked inside. "Mom, do you think they're going to stay?" His mom pulled mayo and mustard out of the fridge, "I mean I don't see why they would leave, It's a nice neighborhood. and nice people." She said picking up bread. "Because of me..." William said. His mom ran to him quickly. "Never, No, Never, you are not the reason the other neighbors left, It was their decision, okay, sweetie, okay..." William nodded. "Okay?" She said. "Yes, ma'am."
