Hezago floated there for a moment, inhaling the saltiness of the sea as waves rushed beneath him.
It was nice to not think about anything for once in a while, he thought, standing there upon the physical manifestation of his thoughts, watching the flowing and rushing waters of his mind.
He simply stood, ribbony and starred bow tie, posh suit and all, smiling to himself. His blazing bright red hair was floating ethereally behind him, and his silver eyes gleamed, enjoying its person's activity.
He thought of perhaps visiting some of his memories when a ping could be heard, a hologram appearing thereafter. His blue waters of thought became turbulent, violently so, as more and more holographic memories, more of what Hezago had to do, more reminders, more of it all, kept flying by, hell proven to have been set loose.
Hezago continued to simply stand, no change of emotion seen except in his eyes, which displayed angered annoyance.
Still smiling, he read the first to appear hologram that floated ahead of him, the trigger for the turbulence, of which Hezago realised was an invitation.
To Royals Hezago and Zackariah Borealis,
You are formally invited to the two billionth, four hundred and sixty four millionth, three hundred and twenty four thousandth, and six hundred and twelfth annual Chorus of thousands and Orchestra of the same. Likewise, the positions of conductor have been requested for you to fill in on this occasion, and we'd be indiscriminately joyous if you accepted.
Formally,
The CTOS Event.
Eventartis Archipelago, Central Galaxia.
Hezago blinked confusedly, but upon his thoughts returning to his head, the existence surrounding going black, he realised. The heads of this event, also those who had been organising said event for the past few hundred million years (they weren't human) were about to enter retirement and thereafter pass away, and they wished their last day in charge to be one where they could just enjoy the music in peace.
All of the now revolving holograms vanished, leaving Hezago in the darkness. His golden black umbrella appeared in his hand, and with a crack, he decided, he was gone.

Hezago walked down the hallway, looking for his fiance. "Zack!" He shouted, repeatedly. Apparently his powers did not extend to the finding of his husband in this maze of a palace.
Zack then proceeded to come running at hezago, then screeching to a halt as one of their cats, Sesamine, as she phased through the roof, Zack catching her thereafter.
"There you are!" Hezago said, smiling. "It took forever to find you, and this house is really starting to feel empty without the kids. Anyways, how are you?" "I've been fine, but I do agree with you, it really is starting to feel empty. Oh, and, Angie and Sesamine won't stop fighting." And at that precise moment, a fiery orange cat, supposedly Angie, zoomed down the hallway, coming to halt at Zack's feet, to begin yowling and scratching up Zack's leg in order to get back at Sesamine.
Hezago chuckled at the feline, proceeding to pick it up while it still insisted on getting back at Sesamine. "Angie, calm down." Hezago said, smiling in a genuinely motherly manner. The cat meowed angrily, staring at Sesamine, who was stretching comfortably in Zack's arms, unbothered. "That's still no reason to be chasing her around!" Hezago said, to which Angie responded by saying something that caused literally everyone in a thousand mile radius to frown.
Hezago's demeanour darkened, and so did Zack's. "Say something like that again and we'll take away all of your toys." Angie, taking in the severity of the situation, simply meowed quietly in apology. "Lovely. Anyway," Hezago said, speaking once again to Zack. "Did you receive the invitation to the chorus of thousands of thing?" "Oh, yes I did, and I honestly see no problem in going, honestly, after all, they are about to retire." "True, true," Hezago said, nodding. "If that's the case," He continued, "Let's get ready, shall we?"

Annaloubarr's City
Skies of Beltivia
Commonwealth of Beltivia
New Galaxia
Oliver flew through the sky, pulling two purple cars af which proved to be not unsimilar to his coat. He left a steak through the sky as he zoomed, attracting attention from those who were looking up at him as he flew.
Hezago and Zack were sitting in the aforementioned cars, while Oliver (the train that is) led them to their destination of The Thousand Ray Music House, in which the orchestra was to be hosted. That year, they had chosen Annaloubarr's city, making it the first time in history that it was set in the Galaxian Commonwealth of Beltivia, as for some obscure reason, they disliked the place.
Oliver came to a screeching halt at the doors to the music house, of which was white in complexion along with the rest of its building. It was a rather tall thing, the music house, and had a teardrop shape going on about it when viewed from the top. Glass windows were the majority of the slanted building, of which was implanted in the ground at eighty two degrees, supported by a muscle-like structure attached to it. It looked slightly dangerous, but that didn't stop three thousand people from using the building.
"Here we are!" Zack said, walking into the building, and met with what looked like an arena but repurposed for the orchestra, and with a roof and an elevator in the corner for the upper floors. There was a raised podium near the middle so that the two of the three thousand could see their conductors, the spotlight shining upon said podium.
"I wonder what music we're going to conduct?" Zack asked. "Honestly, I don't know. I just hope-" "Ah, there you are!" They turned to find a heavily breathing and frazzled young lady coming to a halt next to them.
"Your," she breathed, "Highnesses, welcome to this annual Chorus of Thousands and the Orchestra of the same!" She then paused, trying to remember something. "Oh, and, thank you so much for agreeing to conduct this event! The founders, though some are too sick to be here, send their regards."
"You're very welcome," Zack said, "And kind regards to the founders." "I'll make sure they get it!" The lady said, smiling, of which Zack and Hezago reciprocated. "Now, there are songs and specific music pieces we'd like you to perform, and," she handed them each a pamphlet from her inner pockets, "here they are."
The two frowned upon reading the list, displeased with the genre of music chosen. "Why is all this... us related?" Hezago asked, looking at the list sceptically. "I mean," the lady said, "I said the same thing when I saw it, but the founders insisted, so..."
Hezago looked up at his husband for his opinion. "Well, we're already here, so might as well do it." Hezago turned back to the lady and spoke. "Very well then, shall we get started?" "Of course your highnesses, go ahead."
The crowd had settled down, and so had the choir and the orchestra, which left Hezago and Zack to get onto the podium. And so they did! They drew their wands upon arrival, using them as conducting batons, and began, Zack conducting the instrumentally skilled orchestra and Hezago doing the same with the vocally adept choir.
Through all the songs they played, emotion spurred. Joy and sorrow, light and darkness, and hope for tomorrow.
