I was dying. I'm only 16 but I'm ready. I only had a few more days to live and I only have one wish for life. So I guess you could say it's my dying wish.
Because I was 16 I was granted one wish. I only had one wish.
That one wish is to meet my idol. My idol is the one and only Sam Pottorff the YouTuber.
The people who grant wishes for dying kids had tried to contact him. I knew it was a long shot. And I also knew there was no way he would come out.
Too my surprise he did come. A nurse had come into my room one day telling me I had a visitor. I thought it was one of the kids from school coming to visit me out of pity, so I just said okay.
When he walked in I almost cried. Almost.
The first thing he said to me was: "You must be Luke, the boy that wanted to meet me." While smiling.
I was speechless. I didn't know what to say so i just nodded.
We hung out that whole day talking about anything and everything.
He was really cool and if I wasn't dying I would hope to one day be friends with him.
I ended up telling him my secret. A secret that no one knew but me. There was no way I could tell anyone. That secret...I'm gay.
Sam didn't judge at all which made me happy.
When the day was almost over Sam had to leave. We exchanged numbers and he left.
Later that night I wasn't feeling to good. I sent a text to Sam because I wasn't sure I would make it through the night.
I was right. After I sent the text, I fell asleep and never woke up.
The text I had sent said "Sam I didn't tell you earlier but from watching your videos and hanging out with you, I think I love you. I'm only telling you this now cause I don't think I'll be here much longer and I had to tell someone."
