A young Priest walks into a dimly-lit pub and sits down at an empty bar stool, placing his blue college bag on the empty seat at his right. While he waits for his friend to show up, he opens his phone to play chess with his boyfriend and drinks some pints of vodka.
A few minutes later, a Muslim teenager enters the establishment, holding an icepack to her head. When the Priest sees her, he takes his bag and lays it on the floor so she can sit down.
“Are you okay?” He asks her, wide eyes shifting from the ice pack to the red veil around her neck.
“Yeah.” She breathes out a chuckle, asking the bar tender for a glass of water. “Just got tackled during football practice.” She chugs the whole glass down and has it replace with another. “For a moment I saw Buddha.”
“Wow.” The priest responds. “You must’ve gotten hit hard to see another faith’s God.”
