Phew, summer!
This summer has been pretty busy for me. I went to camp, went to Canada for a missions trip, and I've been getting my cosplay ready for my first anime convention.
I've met so many people, been to completely new places, and learned many life skills. It's been incredible. I'm sad to see it end and get back into the normal swing of things. (I mean, really, who likes going back to school?) However it's been nice to be home.
One thing I've missed is the rain. It's an odd request but when it's in the 80s and 90s for two months you start to wish for such things. I'm definitely ready for fall. Although I have to wonder why stores have decided to pull out the Christmas ornaments so soon. I'm not sure if I'm prepared for all of that yet.
It's been exciting to watch my two nieces, a four year old and a one year old, grow up this summer. They're energetic, adorable, and big stinkers! I'm blessed to have them.
One of the best experiences of summer was being able to write whenever I felt like it. I've gotten so many new ideas out and I can't wait to share them. That's the great thing about summer... you have lots of free time.
Getting ready for another high school year,
