I watched her cry from the distance. Her sobs tearing me apart. My body ache with anger. How could they do this to her? A snarl erupts from my throat, catching the girl's attention.
Quickly she comes to a stand. Her body shakes with fear, if she was in wolf form, her wolf would be bowing to me now her tail tucked between her legs. But that wasn't what I wanted. Another growl erupts from my throat and she takes off.
"Wait!"
I called, but she didn't stop. My wolf was up for the chase, he was waiting for my all command to find her. Allowing him the honor, my body quivered and shook. Letting out a howl, my wolf ran. It was nightfall by the time her scent came to an end. Sitting under an old hickory, a beautiful white wolf howled to the moon. Her howls were filled with pain, grief and anger. A small whine threaten to be released. Stalking silently towards her, I watched as her wolf quivered into a small female.
She was facing away from me, her face covered. Shifting to human, I looked for a pair of clothes when her soft cool voice hit me.
" You wouldn't want me. As a mate. I'm not strong, or tall. Just like everyone, i'm just a useless weakling with no home, no shoulder to run to."
"That's not true."
And I believed that. But then she turned to me. Her face was the most beautiful thing I have ever lay eyes on. Her body was just the same. She was perfect in every little way that I couldn't understand why so many doubted that. My wolf purred at the sight and wanted nothing but to claim her, here and now. But I couldn't let him get the best of me, I couldn't let him scare her off.
" That's not true. Your the most prettiest girl I have ever seen, and I would wish anything in the world to have you as mine."
"Would you, would you after I tell you that i'm not an alpha, that i'm not even capable of caring my own child. Would you after I tell you that my father had abuse me and taken everything that I had away from me!"
She screamed, her eyes a blazing red. Her nails were beginning to shift, her body quivered.
"Yes, I would."
Frozen, her body calmed. A small tear slipped from the corner of her eye, and was caught by the tender hand of his.
"Why, i'm nothing compared to you."
"Your everything compared to me, that's why I would do anything for you. Even if you believe other wise. I want you for who you truly are, and nothing more."
His arms pulled her close, close enough to hear his beating heart.
"I love you, and will do anything for you. Even if that means sparing my life to save yours. I wouldn't want anything else but you."
