I'd like to think that writing horror from the second person perspective might actually make things scarier for the reader. I was browsing some youtube comments on Writing Horror videos, where one of the commentators wrote that one of the basic types of fear is the feeling of no control.979Please respect copyright.PENANAHu3dXIV90G
When people think of 2nd person narration, they immediately think of those Choose Your Own Adventure Series, where people read and make choices! What if, for this brief time period where 2nd person in unpopular in average media, this presents an immediate twist for readers? They expect a choice, when they're really being dragged along for the ride!
Then again, maybe people won't think too deeply into that, or just get pissed off when they find out my stories are linear...
