"The King is so nice isn't he? I can't believe he gave us so much money." My mom said as we were walking through the shops at the local market this afternoon.
"Yeah. He's really nice." I said as I looked around at the crowded place.
"That means no more stealing for you." She ordered.
I shrugged. "What would happened when we run out of money?"
My mom sighed. "I was trying not to think about that for awhile. Right now, I'm trying to buy enough food for a few days then save the rest of the money for later."
I nodded as I followed my mom up to a fruits stand. I wasn't really interested in picking out fruits so I decided to go look around at the other stands down the alleyway.
"I'll be right back. I'm going to go look at more stands." I said to mom.
"Alright. Don't go too far." She said as she picked up an orange.
I started to make my way down the alleyway when I felt someone pull me into the Fortune Teller's tent. I looked up to see who it was when immediately, soft lips were pressed against mine. That's when I knew that Akil found me here. I started to kiss him back until he pulled away then sat down on the floor of the tent, pulling me down with him.
"How are you here?" I asked.
"My mom allowed me to go out for some fresh air. I figured that you would be shopping with your mom today so I came here." He said then smiled.
I smiled back. "I'm so glad to see you." I admitted.
Akil kissed me again. We kissed longer this time and hadn't even realized that the Fortune Teller was in the tent until she slowly made her way up to us. Akil and I stopped kissing and looked up at the Fortune Teller. She was an old woman with long grey hair and was wearing a purple robe with jewels on it. We waited for her to say something, but she didn't. She just smiled then walked away. I shrugged then turned back to Akil.
"We can't keep doing this. You're a Prince. You need to fall for a Princess. Not a commoner." I said.
Akil shook his head. "I can't. I've already fallen for you." He said then he kissed me again. This time, I pulled away from him.
"Akil....I should go. My mom will be wondering where I am." I said then stood up.
I started to walk out of the tent and I was a bit surprised when Akil didn't stop me. I guess he finally realized that we can't be together even though we really want to. I sighed. Things were way too complicated. How did I end up falling for a Prince? I started to walk back over to my mom.
"I've finished buying food. Let's head back." She said and I nodded.

Once we left the market and head back home, I helped mom put the bags in the house. "Um...is it okay if I go back out?" I asked.
"Sure. Take your sister, though. She'll need some fresh air."
I nodded then looked at my eight year old sister, Layla. I took her hand and we both walked out of the house.
"I want to go to the creek." She said.
I nodded. "Sure."
We both walked over to the creek and sat down at the edge of it. Layla started to play with the water while I watched her. That's when a shadow loomed over me and covered my eyes up.
"Guess who?"
I took the hands off my eyes and looked up to see Akil. I smiled.
"You never quit huh?" I asked.
Akil shook his head as he sat down next to me.
"This is my little sister, Layla." I introduced.
Layla looked over and gasped. "Wow! You're the Prince!" She got up and hugged Akil.
"It's so nice to meet you, Layla." Akil said as he hugged her back.
Layla giggled then started to run down the creek.
"Don't go too far!" I shouted after her then looked at Akil.
Akil then took my hand into his. "How would you like to spend the night with me tonight?" He asked.
"Will your parents allow it? I mean, don't they look down on people like me?"
Akil shrugged. "If I just tell them that you're the only friend I have, they wouldn't mind letting you spend the night. Besides, I think they already like you."
I gave it some thought then shrugged. "Okay."
Akil smiled brightly. "Great. I'll ask them. Come over to my place when the sun goes down and the moon rises in the sky."
I nodded then kissed Akil. His kisses are so addicting that it's hard to not kiss him. I feel like I could kiss him forever. That's when Layla came back with flowers.
"Hey."
I quickly pulled away from Akil and looked at Layla. I stood up and stared down at her.
"Layla, don't tell mom okay?"
She just shrugged. "Whatever. Here!" She held up a blue flower to me. I knelt down and allowed Layla to put the flower in my hair then she walked over to Akil and placed the same flower in his hair too.
"Now we're all matchy~" She said, putting a flower in her hair too.
Akil and I smiled. "We should head back." I said then I took Layla's head and looked at Akil. He stood up and smiled at me.
"See you tonight." He whispered then kissed me sweetly before making his exit. I blushed deeply.
"Is he your boyfriend?" Layla asked with a grin.
I started to blush deeply at her question then I sighed. "Let's go."
