Yes, you.
You're a nobody, let's be honest. You've got nothing really going for you. On one hand you are a scholar, you have a part-time job (finally) and are headed off to college. On the other hand, your entire morning was watching cartoons (despite having seen all 7 episodes right now and little news of a new one soon) and playing Super Smash Bros. Again (though I'll admit you are getting better at Ryu). You have ideas and you have time, but somehow the two don't seem to connect, do they?
As much as you wish to avoid these words, I'll say it now: you're nobody out there.
...But sometimes, that's the best thing to be. It's a bit of a clean slate, I guess. You want to make games, write novels, direct, act, produce, and you have a lot of tools to get you going in the right direction. That's a lot more than most other people out there can say. If you wanted to, right now, you could set out to write a novel or a film or finally have a reason to watch TV at 09:30 if it meant watching something you made, or check YouTube at noon to see a popular creator you love so dearly play, yell at, and ultimately enjoy something you worked so hard on.628Please respect copyright.PENANAiVUCO6mT1T
You're only 18, you have no rush to get going now. Heck, a lot of the people who set out to do what you want to do get going somewhere at 25, 30, or even a bit later. Having the dreams to work on that's a start. You have ambition, I've seen it. You might not have the capital to put together a AAA-quality game, or a best-selling novel right now, but you're definitely capable of getting a start of something out there. I've seen the potential before, and I'd like to admit that there's nothing I'd rather see than your own name up there one day with one of the greats.
And while things seem rough now, and it feels that the forces of the world and everyone around you has been pushing you back under the river for the last half a lifetime just hoping for an end somewhere, and as much as you'll hate to hear this, it needs to be said.
Even as everything pushes against you, you need to look it all dead in the eye and push back. Find some time to get off of Steam, sit down, figure out what you want to do, and do it. You have everything you need to be a somebody, but for now, you're a nobody. Fill out that slate and display it proudly, kid.
It's the one thing you can depend on out there.
