Rogues are different from warriors or other melee classes. During the early levels, they can only kill monsters that are the same level as them, and that is with decent gear as well. Not only that, they can only fight one at a time, if they happen to come across any stronger or more than one, they have no choice but to run. Unlike warriors, they can easily fight against two monsters that are same level as them, and if they have better gear, three or even more. That is why rogues usually are not on top of the highest level player ranks when comparing to warriors or mages.
Right now, the highest level player is level 5, the highest level rogue just hit level 4.
Rogues need a lot of money in the early stages. They do not rely on gear as much as the other melee classes. They need skill books instead. Stealth, it is the most basic skill for rogues, yet it is the strongest and most important one.
He teleported to Town Amtrak, one of the towns on Caroll prairie. This is a peaceful town for beginners, there are a lot of players here trying to level.

You can see a lot of level 2s and 3s everywhere in this town. They are either trying to trade or they are trying to get a group to start leveling. It is so crowded.
There are usually 10 or more players in a group if they are trying to level. It is very safe without a doubt but at the same time, since the experience is shared among everyone, it is not that quick. If memories serves him right, there should be a silver chest inside the Wildcat area right outside Town Amtrak. Gustav remembered he found it during his leveling journey in his previous life. That chest contains a very important skill book for rogues.
That area is filled with Wildcats and they are level 5 monsters, so he is pretty sure no one has been there before.
Chests are divided into different grades as well, ranging from common, silver, gold to platinum and legendary. The higher the ranks the better the items inside. The items inside the chests are fixed by the system, and once it is opened, the chest will disappear forever.
